Hishou Same! Same! Same! gets release date in Japan

M2 has set a release date for Hishou Same! Same! Same!, its collection of shoot ’em up games for Switch. Japan will be getting the release on April 28, 2022.
The physical version of Hishou Same! Same! Same! comes with a code for Sennou Game Teki Paki and players will have access to DLC featuring the console ports of each title, plus Wardner. There’ll also be a Digital Edition containing the arcade versions of Hishou Zame! and Same! Same! Same!, plus Sennou Game Teki Paki.

M2 today announced Hishou Same! Same! Same!, the latest addition to its M2 ShotTriggers and Toaplan Arcade Garage series. A release is planned for Spring 2022 in Japan.
Hishou Same! Same! Same! will come with the arcade versions of the shoot ’em up game Hishou Zame! (otherwise known as Sky Shark / Flying Shark) as well as Same! Same! Same! (also known as Fire Shark). M2 has thus far confirmed M2 Gadgets and Super Easy mode as new features.

Kyukyoku Tiger-Heli announced for Switch

Today, M2 announced that it’s bringing Kyukyoku Tiger-Heli to Switch. The “Toaplan Arcade Garage” series shoot ’em up collection is due out for Switch in Japan on October 28.

M2 revealed more information about Aleste Collection during TGS 2020 Online today. GG Aleste 3, a new title made for Game Gear, is now confirmed for the collection.
GG Aleste 3 features a completely new Aleste world. All aspects of the game, including programming, graphics, and sound, were made with the limits of Game Gear’s specifications in mind.

SEGA confirms the end of SEGA Ages, but teases more plans for Switch and past titles

The SEGA Ages series has been ongoing since 2018 on Switch. We’ve seen a wide variety of classic games return on the system, ranging from Sonic the Hedgehog to Virtua Racing. But now after the development of 19 titles, SEGA Ages is coming to an end.
In an interview with Japanese outlet Game Watch, SEGA’s Yosuke Okunari confirmed that there are currently no plans for additional games. However, he did confirm that the team’s next project is moving along. And while we don’t have any specifics, Okunari suggested that we may still see additional re-releases on Switch in the future.
