Over the past few days, the e-Capcom Twitter account has been rolling out photos of the first wave of Monster Hunter amiibo. Along with the figures themselves, we’re also able to see which boxes they come in. Have a look at the various images below.

Nintendo Everything was at this year’s Tokyo Game Show! We had a low-key presence at the event, but we did manage to try out several upcoming Japanese 3DS titles. Look for our impressions in the coming days.


Monster Hunter Stories is one of the most anticipated upcoming 3DS games that is coming soon to Japan – October 8 specifically. Of course, it had a large area at Capcom’s Tokyo Game Show 2016 booth, and many people lined up to try it.

When we entered the Monster Hunter Stories exhibit, we were first shown a couple of trailers (which are actually not exclusive and also watchable on Capcom’s Japanese YouTube page) and some explanations about the game system. Following that, we were sent to the demo tables and were given ten minutes to play.

With Monster Hunter Stories releasing soon in Japan, Capcom is working at marketing the 3DS title with commercials. You can watch the two commercials below to see the excitement:

This week’s Famitsu contains another article on Monster Hunter Stories. Even though the game isn’t too far off, the preview coverage actually provides quite a number of new details. We have plenty of information about modes, StreetPass functionality, and more.

Tournament Mode is is an offline mode where players fight other Riders in a tournament format. There are two categories:

– Normal Tournaments, which can be accessed anytime
– Download Tournaments, which can be obtained as DLC

Capcom has been announcing collaborations left and right for Monster Hunter Stories. Today, a partnership was unveiled with the Japanese publication Dengeki.

In the game, players will be able to obtain a weapon: sword and shield Inazuma Works, which will be upgraded to Ikazuchi Works when maxed out. A Nabiru costume as the Dengeki Politan will also be available as post-release DLC.

In Japan, Capcom just released a demo for Monster Hunter Stories – as we learned would happen this past weekend. Head past the break for a Twitch archive with a ton of footage.

At TGS, Monster Hunter Stories was one of several 3DS games with a playable demo. Take a look at some off-screen footage below.

The Japan Game Awards took place a few days ago, and several Nintendo titles came out on top in various categories. We now have the results for the Future Division division, which were hosted earlier today.

Ten titles present at the Tokyo Game Show were selected by attendees as the expo’s best games. Two Nintendo games from Capcom made the list: Monster Hunter Stories and Megami Meguri. For those who are curious, Final Fantasy XV, Nioh, Gravity Rush 2, Yakuza 6, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last Guardian, Resident Evil 7, and Summer Lesson rounded out the rest of the list in no particular order.
