Nicalis

At the end of August, it was announced that Nicalis will be publishing Save me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San on Switch. Originally, the plan was to have it ready sometime this year. With 2017 just about over, unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until 2018 for Save me Mr Tako.

In a blog update, Deneos states that Save me Mr Tako “is now almost ready for submission”. Additionally, “it will be released as soon as possible next year.”

Update (12/24): This is now up to pre-order on Amazon as well.

Original (12/23): Runner3 won’t just be an eShop title when it hits Switch in 2018. Choice Provisions is working with Nicalis on a physical version, which will be offered alongside the digital release on day one.

Similar to past Nicalis offerings on Switch, the company is preparing some special goodies for those who buy a physical copy of Runner3. GameStop has first details on the launch edition.

Runner3 will be on Switch towards the start of 2018. When it does release, it won’t just be an eShop title. Nicalis announced a partnership with Choice Provisions today that will bring fans a physical version.

You’ll be able to find Runner3 on store shelves in Q1 2018. The physical version will be priced at $39.99. Given Nicalis’ past, it’ll probably come with some goodies other than just the game on a cartridge.

For its physical Switch releases, Nicalis tends to include some extra items. The publisher is continuing the tradition with Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap.

Like with past games, Nicalis will be including an instruction booklet. You’ll also get a 3″ CD soundtrack sampler and a PVC phone strap.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is due out physically for Switch in Q1 2018.

System: Switch
Release date: November 14, 2017
Developer: Ludosity
Publisher: Nicalis

Years after Ludosity’s well-received Ittle Dew back in 2013 on Steam before making its way to consoles about a year later, Ittle Dew 2+ is here and makes its way over to the Switch, offering fans of top-down dungeon crawlers and old-school Zelda players something to look forward to, and a sequel that finds itself just as wildly charming and humorous as it was the first time around. The game brings with it some new treats that make it feel like a fresh, albeit familiar, new adventure for our protagonists Ittle Dew and Tippsie.

New footage has arrived showing off the Switch version of VVVVVV. Watch around 15 minutes of gameplay below.
