The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth finally hit the Wii U and New 3DS via the eShop earlier this year. Given that, could the expansion – which goes by the name “Afterbirth” – head to Nintendo systems as well? Unfortunately, right now the answer appears to be “no”.

A new gameplay video for 90’s Arcade Racer has come online showing the latest progress with AI and functioning gameplay mechanics. Check it out below.

Today’s video originates from a new Kickstarter update, which you can find here. It shows off the various playable cars in the game.

The Wii U version of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth will be patched on Monday, Nicalis’ Tyrone Rodriguez has confirmed via Twitter. This update should address some bugs players have been experiencing.


Rodriguez also recently noted on his Twitter account that another New 3DS update is planned. However, there’s no timetable for its release since Nintendo needs to approve it.

Nicalis confirmed on its Twitter account today that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is slated for October 29 in Europe. This applies to both the Wii U and New 3DS versions of the game.

Update: Bumped to the top. It now looks like The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth’s European release will be taking place in October.



The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth could be launching in Europe as soon as next week. On Twitter, Nicalis’ Tyrone Rodriguez said that the game has been submitted with a September 10 release date. That date will stick so long as Nintendo approves it.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth will be getting a patch on New 3DS alongside tomorrow’s eShop update. Nicalis’ Tyrone Rodriguez sharing the news on Twitter just a few moments ago, writing:


The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has been suffering from some technical issues on New 3DS, so hopefully tomorrow’s update will correct things.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth’s most recent patch brought about some major issues on New 3DS. After users began updating their game, some began encountering severe crashing issues.

We do at least know that another new patch is coming soon. Nicalis’ Tyrone Rodriguez said on Twitter earlier today that it’s now with Nintendo for final testing.

The New 3DS version of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth suffered from some issues at launch. For example, users encountered invisible enemies and music that randomly stopped playing.

It’s true that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth did recently get an update on New 3DS to address the game’s technical bugs. Unfortunately, however, a new and major problem has cropped up. We’re hearing that a glitch was added with the latest update that crashes the game and forces players to reboot their system every few minutes. Let’s hope Nicalis comes out with another patch soon!
