Nintendo Direct

The next Nintendo Direct will air tomorrow. Nintendo is holding a special presentation dedicated to all things for its next Switch game, Splatoon 2. During the presentation, fans can look forward to news about “some of the new features, weapons and styles” in the game.

As for how long the Direct will be, Niconico may have some insight. It’s showing as a 25-minute presentation on the video site’s schedule. Some have questioned how accurate Niconico is with these timetables, though they were actually right on the money with the Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 event last month. But… we’ll see.

The Splatoon 2 Direct will air on Thursday at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe.

Nintendo has announced a new Japanese Nintendo Direct, which will air on Wednesday, June 21st, at 8 PM local time. The Direct, which will be 14 minutes long, will be all about Dragon Quest XI. According to the announcement, the Direct will be mainly about the 3DS version of the game and its exclusive features. It’s possible that the Switch version will also be shown off for the first time, though that’s not exactly a safe bet. Either way, we’ll know for sure in about 48 hours.

E3 2017 is only a week away, but it already feels like the festivities have started. Today’s Pokemon Direct can be partially attributed to that since we should be getting some big news about the franchise very soon.

No live blog for this one due to how short it is, but you can watch the Pokemon Direct as it happens below in an hour from now (7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe). Although it’ll only be eight minutes long, similar presentations focusing on the series have been equally short. We’ll put up any breaking news on the site right as it happens.
