Today, The Pokémon Company International announced a special gift for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y players that download Pokémon Bank, the new Nintendo 3DS downloadable software service. When a player downloads Pokémon Bank anytime between December 27, 2013, and September 30, 2014, they will receive the Mythical Time Travel Pokémon Celebi! This special Celebi comes with the move Hold Back, a restrained attack that cannot be learned through normal gameplay, which always leaves the target with at least 1 HP. This allows players to weaken a target with certainty and is very useful in capturing Pokémon. This particular Celebi also knows the moves Recover, Heal Bell, and Safeguard.

Players will need to use the Pokémon Link feature in their Pokémon X or Pokémon Y game to receive Celebi. After you have received your Celebi gift within Pokémon Bank, select Pokémon Link, and Celebi will be sent to your PC Box in your Pokémon X or Pokémon Y game.

NES Remix Launches, Tecmo-Koei Warriors-Zelda Game Headed to Wii U in 2014

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– One of Nintendo’s popular characters from the recently released Super Mario 3D World game is coming to two of its biggest titles of 2014 for Wii U. Rosalina will be playable in both Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8. Nintendo also launched NES Remix in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U, re-imagining parts of 16 classic NES games. A new game for Wii U developed by Tecmo-Koei that will feature the action-packed Warriors series set in the world of The Legend of Zelda was also revealed for launch in 2014. This is a separate project from the new installment of The Legend of Zelda series that is in development for Wii U by longtime series producer Eiji Aonuma and his team. Nintendo made these announcements and revealed new information about a number of Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games during a Nintendo Direct announcement. Some of today’s announcements included:

18th December 2013 – As part of a Nintendo Direct broadcast today, Nintendo revealed that one of its most popular new characters is coming to two of its biggest games for 2014 on Wii U, with Rosalina from the Super Mario Galaxy series playable in both Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8. Nintendo also announced a Wii U game for 2014 developed by Tecmo Koei that will feature the action-packed Warriors series set in the world of The Legend of Zelda. Tentatively namedHyrule Warriors, this title is a separate project from the new instalment of The Legend of Zelda series that is in development for Wii U by longtime series producer Eiji Aonuma and his team.

While confirming launch dates for anticipated titles Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on Wii U and Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney onNintendo 3DS,  the broadcast, hosted by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and Nintendo of Europe President Satoru Shibata, also offered a handful of festive surprises with the release of Golf for Wii Sports Club, and a new title remixing classic videogaming challenges named NES Remix. Both titles are available from Nintendo eShop today.
