New updates out for Pokemon X/Y, Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

Updates are out now for Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire and Pokemon X/Y.
For Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, players can download version 1.3. This is to address bugs and improve the game experience. You’ll need it to use online features. Note that it takes up 271 blocks of space.
Pokemon X/Y’s new version is 1.4. Like Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, it’s intended for bug fixes and to improve the game experience. The download is 246 blocks and is needed to access online features.
Shiny Charizard to be distributed at Game UK stores

Game retail shops in the UK have announced that it will be giving out special codes for a Shiny Charizard. The Shiny Charizard will be available to anyone with Pokemon X, Y, as well as Pokemon Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire. The rare Pokemon code will be starting to be distributed on April 3, there is currently no end date announced.

Speaking with Forbes, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime shared more information regarding the 3DS’ strong success in the U.S. during the month of February.
We learned a couple of days ago that 3DS hardware sales are up 90 percent year-over-year. Fils-Aime also revealed that the handheld sold more units this February than the past two Februaries combined.
The New 3DS launch was the main catalyst behind the 3DS’ overall boost last month, and Fils-Aime noted that the system drove sales because “consumers are always looking for a reason to upgrade.” Nintendo believes that “making ongoing improvements to a hardware system really pays longterm dividends”.

Update: European code is POKEMON380381.
The new Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Eon Ticket serial code is now live. By using the code “2015LATIOSLATIAS”, players can get their hands on a ticket. This should be valid through Monday.
Hidden Ability Johto starters now available for Pokemon Bank

If you own Pokemon Bank, you can now download the fully evolved Johto starter Pokemon. During this distribution event you can get Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr with their Hidden Abilities of Leaf Guard, Flash Fire, and Sheer Force.
This latest distribution will run until November 30th and is available to all owners of the Pokemon Bank. The starter Pokemon can be sent to Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire games through their Pokemon Link feature.
Serena’s Fennekin now live for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (Japan)

For the owners of the Japanese Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games the latest distribution is now live. You will now be able to get the Fennekin that is based on Serena’s Fennekin from the anime. He has no special powers but is holding the Destiny Knot and comes with the high Cute contest stat.
The distribution is acquired through a serial code that was given during the latest anime episode, SERENA01. The code is usable once and can be redeemed through the Mystery Gift option, it will be available until March 31st.

Have you been unable to obtain an Eon Ticket in Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire? Well, good news! A new (and arguably simpler) method of obtaining a ticket is on the way.
Starting on February 27, a series code will be distributed on the official Pokemon website, which in turn allows players to nab an Eon Ticket. It can be used to obtain Latias in Omega Ruby or Latios in Alpha Sapphire. The promotion lasts through March 2.

Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire playing cards coming to Japan next month

Nintendo is bringing out a new set of Pokemon cards in Japan next month. For 500 yen a pack, consumers can pick up a card set based on Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. While Both get the same Joker cards, they have their own unique Pokemon based on which version you pick up.
