Pokemon Sword & Shield: Japanese overview trailer

The Pokemon Company just published a new Japanese trailer for Pokemon Sword & Shield. The video doesn’t contain any new information, instead showing off every new Pokemon that has been officially revealed so far.
Pokemon Sword & Shield are out worldwide on November 15.

Pokemon Center Shibuya special artwork to celebrate opening & Curry Dex event

Special artwork has been released to celebrate the opening of the new Pokemon Center in Shibuya next month. In addition, starting November 15th, distributions of Curry Dex ingredients will be available at Pokémon Centers & Pokémon Stores across Japan, as well as a distribution for Pikachu and Eevee during a player’s birthday month. Game Freak on why Pokemon Sword/Shield doesn’t have voice acting

Like previous entries in the series, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield won’t have voice acting. The characters have lines of text to read while the Pokemon themselves maintain their tradition sound effects.
In an interview with Metro, director Shigeru Ohmori was asked why voice acting wasn’t included this time around. He pointed to the amount of work that would be needed for recordings due to the amount of languages supported as well as maintaining the idea players have in mind for the different characters.

Polygon is one of a few outlets to have published an interview today with Game Freak about Pokemon Sword/Shield. There were a few highlights, with director Shigeru Ohmori commenting on how quickly a Pokemon could be created, why Farfetch’d is getting an evolution, and version-specific gym leaders.

Nintendo just released a new trailer for Pokemon Sword & Shield. Rather than showing in-game footage of the new games though, this video focuses more on past games. Presumably, all the Pokemon shown in the trailer will also be available in Sword & Shield:
