Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the recently-announced Pokemon 3DS remakes. You can reserve Omega Ruby here or Alpha Sapphire here.

At the moment, Amazon is the only major retailer we’ve come across with retailers. Nothing from GameStop or Best Buy yet, though we’ll keep you updated in our weekly pre-order post.

Walmart is offering a pair of items with Mario Kart 8 pre-orders. If you reserve Nintendo’s racer at the retailer, you’ll be given a “PowerA Wii Mario Kart 8 Racing Wheel” as well as $4.99 in VUDU movie credits. The latter bonus will be sent out via email.

Retailers are now starting to take pre-orders for the Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle – just announced today. You can reserve the package on either GameStop or Best Buy.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Set comes with a 32GB Wii U console, copy of Mario Kart 8, red Mario Wii Wheel accessory, and a red Mario Wii Remote Plus controller. You can also nab a free digital copy of New Super Mario Bros. U, Pikmin 3, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD or Wii Party U by registering Mario Kart 8 on Club Nintendo before July 31.

In what might be the strangest pre-order offers we’ve seen this year, Best Buy is giving out gas credit with Mario Kart 8 reservations. The offer is valid while supplies last, and is valid both in-store and online.

Best Buy’s Gas Cash can be redeemed at any gas station in the United States that accepts MasterCard. You’ll just need to enter the code provided by the retailer at www.revupyourkart.com/redeem.

Strangely, Amazon already has Kirby Triple Deluxe for $5 off the MSRP. Most retailers are taking reservations for $35, but if you get your order in now, you can purchase the game for only $30. While not massive savings, I don’t think anyone would complain about that price!
