Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions is off to a slow start in Japan. During its first week, the game sold roughly 25,000 copies. Dengeki further adds that it had a sell-through rate of 45 percent.

Dengeki does say that Mario & Luigi games have gone on to sell over 400,000 copies. With that in mind, it’ll be interesting to see how this one does in the long run.

The Super Famicom Mini sold over 350,000 units in its first week in Japan. Had Nintendo shipped more units, that number likely would have been higher.

Dengeki reports that the system sold through 90 percent of its initial shipment. Naturally, stores quickly ran out of stock.

Nintendo has pledged to restock the Super Famicom Mini as well as the SNES Classic Edition. The NES Classic Edition will also return next year.

The Flame in the Flood couldn’t be off to a better start on Switch. Curve Digital publishing director Simon Byron mentioned on Twitter today that the game “smashed it” on the console, in which he wrote:

MCV followed up with Byron for more on The Flame in the Flood’s Switch debut. He said that the game “had its best ever day on any console since we’ve been publishing it, beating any other format we have launched on.” Byron was anticipating a certain figure in his mind, but the actual result “was a third over that.”

And here are the software charts:

As of late, many developers and publishers have detailed the successes they’ve experienced on the Switch eShop. A number of games have sold better on Nintendo’s console than other platforms.

Some have chalked this up to Switch being early on in its lifecycle. Others have said that it’s due to a lack of games. But as the eShop continues to get more and more crowded – especially over the last few weeks – those arguments may not hold up as well.

When we last heard about Switch’s performance in France, the console was sitting at over 250,000 units. That was back in mid-June. LesEchos now reports a new figure of 390,000 units. Philippe Lavoue, general manager of Nintendo France, says the system is on a path similar to that of Wii.

LesEchos also shares a positive figure about Zelda: Breath of the Wild. 80 percent of those who purchased a Switch bought the game, the site reports.
