More details on debut Japanese sales for Etrian Odyssey V, Dragon Ball: Fusions
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 1 Comment
Etrian Odyssey V was the best-selling title during the week of August 1 in Japan. During its first four days on the market, the game sold 92,500 units.
Media Create now notes that Etrian Odyssey V sold through 75.84 percent of its initial shipment. The series’ previous entry, Etrian Odyssey IV, sold 96,000 copies with a sell-through rate of 75.68 percent in its first week. Given these numbers, Media Create says the new title is off to a good start.
Dragon Ball: Fusions is another 3DS game that debuted in Japan last week. It did pretty well, having moved around 75,000 units. When compared with other Dragon Ball releases on 3DS – Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission 2 (73,000 first week; lifetime 277,000) and Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden (72,000 first week; 174,000 lifetime), Fusions managed to outperform both despite being different genres.

More information on Puzzle & Dragons X’s sales debut in Japan
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Puzzle & Dragons X debuted in Japan last week. Between July 28 and July 31, the game sold around 87,000 copies. Media Create does’t have any extra data, but Dengeki did post a few extra tidbits.
Puzzle & Dragons X came in two versions. The split was 45,000 copies for the “God Chapter” version and 42,000 units for “Dragon Chapter”. The sell-through rate was roughly 45 percent.
Unfortunately, Puzzle & Dragons X struggled mightily when compared to the 2013 predecessor Puzzle & Dragons X. That game saw sales of 1.53 million copies, so the point we are looking here would be how far this one can capture potential users.
3DS sales up over 200% in the UK, Pokemon games still selling well
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 1 Comment
Data obtained by MCV reveals that 3DS XL and 2DS sales have risen 222 percent and 234 percent in the UK, in comparison to the same period last year. The boost can be attributed to the continued success of Pokemon GO.
Also in large part due to the mobile title’s success, Pokemon games on 3DS are still selling well. MCV reports that Nintendo was the top boxed games publisher in the UK last week. Ten of the top 50 games were from the company, including Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (No.11), Omega Ruby (No.18), X (No.25) and Y (No.29). Pokemon titles sold roughly 9,000 units.
MCV adds that sales of Pokemon trading card, toys, and clothes are also experiencing a boost. Pokemon Sun/Moon pre-orders “have also increased significantly.”
