Splatoon 3 amiibo

Nintendo has announced a new set of amiibo based on Splatoon 3. Inkling (Yellow), Octoling (Blue), and Smallfry will be available. Pricing is set at $15.99 each.

By scanning an amiibo, players can save their favorite gear combinations as Fresh Fits to easily swap outfits. The amiibo also come with exclusive gear, and it’s possible to take in-game photos together with them.

Nintendo has also confirmed that some Splatoon 2 amiibo figures will be relaunching soon. The Callie & Marie 2-Pack and the Pearl & Marina 2-Pack will be restocked at select retailers for $24.99 each.

Splatoon 3 Tableturf Battle

Splatoon 3 has revealed a new gameplay feature called Tableturf Battle, a one-on-one competitive card battle spin-off of Turf War. Players can collect cards, build a deck, and battle their way to the top.

Every player will start out by receiving a starter deck. Over 150 cards can then be collected in-game. The feature can be accessed at the Tableturf Battle Dojo.

Nintendo has revealed the Splatanas for Splatoon 3, a new weapon type in the game. With the Splatana Wiper, players can send out blades of ink or carry out a charged slash.

Nintendo has revealed the full lineup of stages planned for Splatoon 3 at release. Scorch Gorge, Eeltail Alley, Hagglefish Market, Undertow Spillway, Mincemeat Metalworks, Hammerhead Bridge, Museum D’Alfonsino, Mahi-Mahi Resort, Inkblot Art Academy, Sturgeon Shipyard, Makomark, and Wahoo World will be available.

Additionally, more stages will be added to the game in the future. Players can expect more levels to be added via updates.

Splatoon 3 Direct live stream

A new game-specific Nintendo Direct is kicking off not too long from now with the Splatoon 3 Direct, and we’ve set up a live stream post for the event. The presentation begins at 6 AM PT / 9 AM PT / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe.

We’re in for a pretty lengthy presentation as we have confirmation that the event will be about 30 minutes long. Nintendo is likely to go over some old information, but there’ll surely be new details and reveals centered around the game as well. If anything particularly is notable, we’ll pass it along, and we should also have an official recap announcement shortly after the broadcast ends.

C-Side was revealed as band in Splatoon 3 late last year, but Nintendo has now shared a new music track known as “Paintscrapper”. Nintendo says “they’ve welded a shiny rainbow melody to a thrash-metal skeleton and added all kinds of chrome spikes.”

Splatoon 3 inkbrush

Nintendo is highlighting another category of weapons in Splatoon 3, with a specific focus on inkbrushes.

Players can hold ZR while using a brush to sprint at a high speed and lay down ink. Additionally, it’s possible to use rapid-fire brush swings to hit an opponent with lots of ink.

Nintendo has highlighted the dualie-type weapons in Splatoon 3.

This category was first introduced in the series’ last entry. With the dualie-type weapons, players can press B to perform a Dodge Roll while shooting. Nintendo mentions that it’s a smart tactical move.

Splatoon 3 OLED

Original (7/6): Nintendo will release a new Splatoon 3 OLED system and Switch Pro Controller, the company announced today.

The system will release first on August 26, featuring design inspiration from the game. It includes includes a set of one blue and one yellow gradient Joy-Con controllers with white underbellies and a white, graffiti-themed Nintendo Switch dock. Note that Splatoon 3 is not included. The whole package will set you back $359.99.
