Nintendo of Europe has just posted a new video in which Takashi Tezuka and Shigeru Miyamoto play Super Mario Maker. Tezuka makes a course, and then Miyamoto does his best to complete it. Check out the full video below.

Three new Mystery Mushroom costumes are heading to Super Mario Maker. Captain Toad will be available on December 25th and Birdo and Excitebike will be available on December 31st. Like with the other costumes, you will need to beat an Event Course to get them.

Earlier today, Nintendo announced Mr. Saturn and Master Belch costumes for Super Mario Maker. Both of these are now available and can be unlocked once two new Event Courses are completed.

Below are overviews of the levels:

Welcome to Saturn Valley

“This is Saturn Valley. The Mr. Saturns live happily here, along with many unusual creations. Try searching for the Mr. Saturns hiding over the place – in houses, caves, and more! If you reach the goal as Mr. Saturn, you’ll have good luck all day long! … Probably.”

Belch Base

“Nobody can stop you when you’re the great Master Belch! Use your slime powers to assert dominance over, er… your own base.

By the way, you have precisely 4 chances to transform into the great Master Belch. If you find them all, you’ll be filled with an overwhelming sense of satisfaction! Probably.”

  • Add linkage with the Super Mario Maker Bookmark portal site that will allow a more detailed course search.

Nintendo isn’t slowing down with new costume additions in Super Mario Maker. Starting tomorrow in Japan (likely today in North America), you’ll be able to use new outfits based on Mr. Saturn and Master Belch from EarthBound. Trailers for each are below.

Nintendo has added in yet another Event Course and costume in Super Mario Maker. Players can begin taking on the “Nintendo Badge Arcade” level, which nets them an arcade bunny costume once finished.

Here’s a trailer for the costume:

And the Nintendo Badge Arcade course description:

“Hey there! Welcome to the Nintendo Badge Arcade! It’s the place to be if you want to play crane games and catch badges you can use to jazz up your HOME Menu.

…HUH?! The arcade got turned into a Mario course?! Ooh. I hope the boss approved this, or I’m gonna be in big trouble!”
