Super Mario Maker

Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka made an announcement about Super Mario Maker during a Treehouse Live segment. The four courses created for the Nintendo World Championships 2015 will be included, the two legendary developers revealed.

Odds are you’ve already seen the Nintendo World Championships by now, but in case you haven’t or if you just want to check out a couple of the show’s highlights, Nintendo uploaded three videos to their Youtube channel: one general highlight video and two about Super Mario Maker. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has been tweeting about Super Mario Maker on the company’s North American Twitter account. In one of his messages, Iwata reveals that the game will come packed with an unspecified amount of pre-made courses. He suggests that players amend some of these levels if they feel uneasy about creating big courses of their own.

Mario Maker appears to be given a new name, even if it’s not a major change.

At the Nintendo World Championships, the title was played for the final round. The introduction video showed off some new art as well as the updated name: “Super Mario Maker”. Check it out below.
