Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Atlus announced Persona 5: The Royal earlier today. Unfortunately, it has only been confirmed for PlayStation 4 (at least for now) even though there were rumors of a Switch version also happening. Yet despite that news, the game may have a connectioon to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

At GDC 2019, Game Informer caught up with a few different indie developers alongside Nintendo’s manager of publisher and developer relations Kirk Scott. As part of this, the site says that Cuphead co-creator Jared Moldenhauer joked around with Scott about how much he wants to see Cuphead and Mugman in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Moldenhauer said:

Nintendo has announced the latest Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Board event. This week, the theme is “Spring Snackfest” where snack-related spirits will be appearing. Defeating these spirits will give you a Snack (L) and three times as many Spirit Points.

The Spirit Board event should kick off on Friday. Look for it to last a few days as usual.
