The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The newest Zelda: Breath of the Wild update has been out for a bit now and you may still be wondering how to get the new Xenoblade Chronicles 2 outfit that Rex wears in that game. Well GameXplain has uploaded a quick guide on how to complete the side quest to acquire this new outfit.

Update: Full patch notes added below.

Original: A new update has gone live for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If you’ve purchased the game, version 1.3.3 is now available.

We’re still waiting on the official patch notes from Nintendo. However, we know that the main purpose of the update is to add in the new Xenoblade Chronicles 2 side quest and outfit that Rex wears in that game.

It’s basically tradition at this point: Nintendo continues to give out weekly free ingame items for Breath of the Wild on Switch. Just head to your news page and make sure you’re subscribed to the Zelda channel!

This week, the game’s director Hidemaro Fubuyashi has some armor-enhancing items for us. These are as listed here: Yellow Chuchu Jelly (x3) and Electric Keese Wing (x3).

The director pairs the items with a helpful tip on how to use them: “Levelling up the Rubber Armor set twice will give it the ‘Shockproof’ effect.” It’s implied that the electrifying items will, when brought to a great fairy fountain, help in upgrading the Rubber Armor set.

Stay tuned for more Breath of the Wild distributions.

It’s been somewhat of a mystery as to when The Champions’ Ballad DLC for Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be launching. The only concrete window Nintendo has given is “Holiday 2017”.

The European Switch eShop seems to have a clearer answer. On a listing for the DLC, Nintendo says that The Champions’ Ballad is planned for December.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s new DLC pack features a new dungeon, an original story, and more new challenges. Hopefully we’ll be getting more details in the weeks ahead.

This week, Mr. Fujibayashi’s gift includes all the ingredients to make a mighty salt-grilled crab. These are as follows: Razorclaw Crab, Mighty Porgy, Mighty Bananas, and Rock Salt. Just start the game from the notification launch button in order to get all this.

The director leaves us with a set of instructions: “Cook these ingredients together for the powerful dish.”

Link’s Hideaway claims to have obtained information about a new bundle for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. A supplier listing indicates that the game will be getting an “Explorer’s” bundle on November 23. The UPC and manufacturer part number are different from the original launch version, further suggesting that this is an entirely new package.

As for what’s in the bundle, it’ll come with the game, a two-sided map, and Explorer’s Guide with lore and learnings. The listing does not make mention of any DLC.

If the listing is accurate, this new bundle will cost $59.99.
