Microsoft dropped some surprising news this week, revealing that it had reached a 10-year commitment to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has now followed up with some additional information. This comes as part of an interview with The Washington Post.

One of the main takeaways is that the goal would be for a new Call of Duty game to end up on a Nintendo system at the same time as other platforms. However, it’s unlikely for anything to materialize next year. If it’s not blocked by regulators, Microsoft’s acquisition deal of Activision Blizzard – including the Call of Duty franchise – wouldn’t happen until June 2023.

Minecraft Avatar Legends DLC

Mojang Studios today unveiled details about new Avatar Legends DLC for Minecraft.

The game is teaming up with the Nickelodeon franchise in all sorts of way. Players can meet up with Katara, Zuko, and others while completing quests, explore all four nations from the hit shows, and channel the skins of your favorite Avatar characters. The goal is to master all four elements and learn new skills from Team Avatar and Team Korra. Players can also get their hands on a free Blue Spirit Mask in the Character Creator.

The latest update for Minecraft Dungeons went live today, with players having access to version 1.17.0.0.

One of the biggest aspects here are Weekly Towers having been refreshed with new loot, improved floor presets, and some challenges (and bosses) from DLC missions. There’s a whole lot of balancing and bug fixes as well.

Minecraft update 1.19.50

A massive 1.19.50 update has just gone live for Minecraft.

The update is comprised of new features, content, and fixes. Some of the highlights include a spectator mode, new default skins, camels, and stability improvements.

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has said that he’d “love” to see Call of Duty on Switch.

Spencer’s comments came about during a Wall Street Journal event earlier today. He touched on a variety of topics, including Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Minecraft Dungeons Fauna Faire update

Minecraft Dungeons received a massive update today known as “Fauna Faire”. Although it’s largely known as version 1.16.2.0, it’ll show on Switch as version 1.16.1.0.

Fauna Faire lets players team up with friends and take on new challenges including the Tower multiplayer mode featuring additional floor variations as well as Treetop Tangle. There’s also the Enchantsmith, an option to take on a random mission, and more.

Minecraft Legends The Piglin Rampage Begins

Minecraft Legends now has a more specific release window, and a new “The Piglin Rampage Begins” cinematic” has come in.

The game will be launching in Spring 2023, Xbox Game Studios, Blackbird Interactive, and Mojang revealed today. It previously had a general 2023 release window.

Minecraft sniffer mob vote

Minecraft Live 2022 is taking place today, and as part of that, the winner was announced for this year’s mob vote.

Fans could choose between the tuff golem, rascal, or sniffer. Ultimately, it was sniffer that won out, and it will be fully developed and added to the game in the future. Sniffer received over half of the total votes.

Minecraft Batman DLC

New Batman DLC is on the way to Minecraft, it’s been announced. The content is coming very soon as it’s launching on October 18, 2022.

The DLC will let players use Batman’s gadgets to explore Gotham. They’ll take on villains like Harley Quinn, Penguin, and more as they unravel Joker’s nefarious plot. After Minecraft Live 2022 finishes today, players can pick up the free Batman Cap Character Creator item in the dressing room.

Minecraft update 1.19.30

Another sizable update has been released for Minecraft, with players now having access to version 1.19.30.

The latest patch includes various adjustments to gameplay, mobs, and Spectator Mode. Fixes are also available for improved stability and more.
