FIFA 19 is coming to Nintendo Switch, but what about one of EA’s other flagship sports titles, Madden? Madden 19 was announced at EA’s press conference, but only for other platforms. Gamespot talked to the game’s producer, Ben Haumiller, and asked him about a possible Switch version of Madden. Here’s what he had to say:

“We always think about every platform out there. It’s really a decision of what’s best for Madden and us as EA and where we’re going. You never rule out getting your game in front of players. You want to go where everyone is. We’d never rule it out. We just don’t have any current plans right now.”

So there you have it. No clear reason was given why Madden 19 isn’t on Switch, but EA isn’t categorically ruling it out for the future.

Intelligent Systems has published a new event calendar for Fire Emblem Heroes, which you can see in the image above. It outlines all of the game’s upcoming events up until early July.

Also, the next Tap Battle: Illusory Dungeon has started. Titled Legendary Heroes, it will be available until July 11th. In addition to the daily Tap Battle quests, new Tap Battle quests will be available starting June 14th, which will let you earn orbs and new accessories.

The next addition of accessories after that is planned for mid-July.

Since March, Super Mario Galaxy, Punchout!!, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and New Super Mario Bros. Wii are available on the Nvidia Shield – however, only in China. This caused quite a bit of speculation since the Tegra chip used in the Nvidia Shield is similar to the one used by Nintendo Switch systems. Whether or not this means that HD re-releases of Wii games could be coming to the Switch at some point in the future is uncertain, but their performance on the Nvidia Shield does give a rough estimate on what they would look like on the Switch. In fact, this is exactly what the tech experts at Digital Foundry did – they looked at the Nvidia Shield version of Super Mario Galaxy and analyzed its technical performance.

You can watch the full analysis in the video below, but the gist of it is that the emulation technology used is quite impressive and that clearly a lot of work was put into this port, even if it can’t get around all the hurdles of it originally being a game on 12-year old hardware.

Alongside Fire Emblem Heroes’ 2.6 update, the previously announced Scattered Fangs summoning focus has gone live. Nino: Pale Flower, Karla: Sword Vassal and Legault: The Hurricane are the 5-star focus units.

There are also new story missions available. In fact, they are the final missions of the Book II storyline. As always, there are also accompanying quests that can get you more orbs.

Starting today, “Four Heroes” maps are coming to Special Maps. Four the next four days, one map will be added each day featuring a specific hero. Beating that map will get you a 3-star version of that hero. They are as follows:

June 8th – Roy: Young Lion; June 9th – Tailtiu: Thunder Noble; June 10th – Barst: The Hatchet; June 11th – Kaze: Easygoing Ninja

One new feature added in the 2.6 update were acccessories. Starting today until July 20th, three quests are available that get you one accessory each: Seashill Hairpin, Mysterious Mask and Spring Bunny Hat.

The Special Orb Promo: June is now available. You can buy 21 orbs and 60 Refining Stones for a reduced price.

Finally, there’s an issue with Tap Battle. Specifically, every player’s progress on the current Illusory Dungeon: Sanctuary of the Mages has been reset. However, you can’t actually get the “first clear” rewards again despite the game telling you so. Intelligent System has identified this issue, but currently has no plans to fix it as the current Illusory Dungeon will only be available for two more days. Instead, compensation orbs will be sent out to all players as an apology. Also, the next Illusory Dungeon, Legendary Heroes, will be available on June 11th.

A quick update on Fire Emblem Heroes: Gunnthrá has won the Heroes & Legends Voting Gauntlet, beating Alfonse in the final round. No matter which team you supported, make sure to claim your feathers by accessing the Voting Gauntlet in the Events section.
