Square Enix games were almost entirely absent from the Wii U, but it looks like this won’t be the case on the Nintendo Switch. Project Octopath Traveler was showcased at the Switch event in January and recently Square Enix revealed the Seiken Densetsu collection as well. In a recent interview with Nikkei, Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda reiterated the company’s interest in the Switch. He stated that out of all the various new gaming platforms being released in 2017, such as the Microsoft’s Project Scorpio or Windows 10 Game Mode, Square Enix’s attention will be mostly focused on the Switch.

Matsuda also says that having multiple gaming platforms on the market is a good thing, and as such hopes that the Switch will be a success.

Prior to the release of Fire Emblem Heroes, the “Choose your Legends” event was held where people could vote on their favorite Fire Emblem characters from across the franchise. Ike, Roy, Lyn and Lucina were the top ranking characters, which means they will be added to the game wearing special outfits. When this is going to happen was still unclear though – until today. Thanks to the Japanese Fire Emblem Heroes Twitter account, we at least have a rough idea when these characters will be added to the game, namely this Summer. Also included in this tweet was a brief voice clip of Ike:

The next big event in Pokemon Duel has begun – the Fire Gym Cup is now live. Until April 12th, all Fire type Movement 1 & 2 figures get an additional 1 movement. Also, Ground types get a bonus of 20 to each of their attacks.

It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for the weekly Pokemon Shuffle update. First, a new special stage featuring Meloetta’s Pirouette Forme has begun. This stage will be available until April 18th.

You will also have another shot at a previously available Pokemon Safari until April 18th. This one features Pineco, Forretress, Ledyba, Ledian, Houndour, Houndoom, Noibat, Hoothoot and Noctowl.

Noibat’s evolved form Noivern can’t be caught in that Safari, but is instead available in a special stage. If you caught it already, you may get Noivern Skill Boosters from this stage.

Also available until April 18th are repeat runs of special stages featuring Zekrom and White Kyurem. They may drop their respective Skill Boosters if you caught them previously.

A special stage where you can catch Thundurus Incarnate Forme has also started its repeat run. This stage is available until April 11th, but you can only attempt it once per day.

The final addition is a special stage featuring Yveltal. It will be available until April 11th; if you already have Yveltal, you may get Yveltal Skill Boosters or Raise Max Levels from this stage.

Finally, you can now collect your rewards from last week’s Meloetta competition.

Fire Emblem Heroes’ second Voting Gauntlet event starts tomorrow, and the first round match-ups have been revealed. Just like in the first round, you can pick any of the eight characters’ teams – if your team wins, you’re stuck with them in the next round as well, and if your team loses, you get to pick another one in the next round. The match-ups are:

  • Subaki vs Beruka
  • Palla vs Minerva
  • Cordelia vs Cherche
  • Hinoka vs Camilla

If your team needs to be strengthened before the event, Navarre’s Grand Hero Battle has now started. The event will run until April 9th; you can obtain both a 3-star and a 4-star version of Navarre if you can beat the respective maps. A special Summoning Focus featuring Caeda, Effie, Kagero and Sophie is also available for the duration of the event.
