The latest update for Metroid Dread has gone live, with Nintendo and MercurySteam now offering version 1.0.3 as of just a few minutes ago. There isn’t anything new in terms of functionality, but it does make one specific change.

Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain continues the trend of Switch demos from Nintendo. Just a few moments ago, a trial for the game was made available on the eShop.

Shantae and the Seven Sirens has been on Switch for well over a year now, but WayForward just announced a major “Spectacular Superstar” update for the game.
Several new features will be added with the patch. It comes with Definitive Mode, Full Deck Mode, Rule Breaker Mode, and Beginner Mode. We have some additional information about the “Spectacular Superstar” update for Shantae and the Seven Sirens below.
Minecraft reveals Walt Disney Magic Kingdom DLC, out now on Switch

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, Minecraft has revealed new DLC based on the Magic Kingdom that has been recreated in the game. Switch owners can pick up the content starting today.
The DLC features attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, and “it’s a small world”, 29 iconic Disney and Pixar characters to meet, and even a fireworks show. Players will receive a ton of different skins and special in-game merchandise. The lineup includes a set of iconic Mickey & Minnie Mouse ears as character creator items, along with a bunch of other festive gear such as Elsa’s dress, a pirate hook, and Woody’s hat.

The Game Awards 2021 nominees announced

The Game Awards 2021 will be taking place in just a few weeks, and nominees for all of the big categories have now been revealed. Around 30 winners will be decided early next month.
The big prize is Game of the Year, and Nintendo will be happy to see that Metroid Dread has been nominated alongside Deathloop, It Takes Two, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Resident Evil Village.

Chef RPG announced for Switch

Developer World 2 Studio has announced Chef RPG, an upcoming game in which players craft their culinary adventure in a pixel art world. The project is currently on track for a Q3 2023 launch and is planned to release on Switch in the future.
Chef RPG has players taking on the role of a traveling chef who has been given the task of reviving the once famous restaurant known as Le Sequoia. They’ll start their lives in a seaside town, which was once a thriving tourist destination.

Nintendo announces 2021 Cyber Deals Sale for European Switch eShop

The 2021 Cyber Deals Sale will kick off on the European Switch eShop on November 18, Nintendo has announced. Over 1,000 titles will be included, and fans can save up to 75 percent.
Some big games will be included such as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which will be discounted for the first time. A number of other notable releases will be here as well like Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Dragon Quest XI S, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, Tetris Effect: Connected, and more.
