Yet another eShop sale has just started on the Switch eShop. For the latest set of discounts, Nintendo is highlighting some of the best-selling indie titles of 2019. Ori and the Blind Forest, Cuphead, and Castle Crashers Remastered are among the discounts.

As is a yearly tradition for the Japanese magazine, Famitsu published a feature in this week’s issue containing various game developer tidbits and teases for 2020. Atlus, Koei Tecmo, and Nippon Ichi Software were among the companies that had a few words to say.

Fire Emblem Heroes events roundup – December 25, 2019

Fire Emblem Heroes has a few different events running featuring Celica and more.
First up, the Legendary Hero summoning event with Celica: Queen of Valentia is live with other 5-star Legendary Heroes and Mythic Heroes. And to celebrate the character’s appearance, she can be found in Special Maps along with Legendary Hero Battles for Robin, Hrid, and Roy as well as Mythic Hero Battles for Naga and Thrasir.
In other news, Mjolnir’s Strike is live in which all players cooperate to protect the Kingdom of Askr from the advancing army of the god of war, Thorr. Lastly, Sothis has sent everyone a special gift for the holidays.
Atlus says Shin Megami Tensei V is still “under active development”

Shin Megami Tensei V is one of the last big remaining mysteries for Switch. Despite being announced for the console during its initial reveal, it still hasn’t been released. Very little of the game has been shown as well.
Atlus did at least attempt to reassure fans that Shin Megami Tensei V is still on the way in the latest issue of Famitsu. A feature involving New Year’s cards and aspirations has a note from the company that states Shin Megami Tensei is “under active development.” Unfortunately, nothing further was mentioned.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate hosting new Spirit Board event this week featuring characters in shorts

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will host its latest Spirit Board this week, Nintendo has announced. “So Comfy! So Cool!” will feature characters wearing shorts, and you’ll gain extra snacks by defeating them. Ninten, Pyra, Giga Mac, and Claus will also appear at set times.
The new Spirit Board event goes live on December 27. Expect it to last for a total of three days.
Metal Max Xeno: Reborn due out March 26, 2020 in Japan

This week’s issue of Famitsu has the early word on Metal Max Xeno: Reborn’s release date. The game is slated for March 26, 2020 in Japan, the magazine confirms.

Prototype is bringing the visual novel Little Busters! Converted Edition to Switch, this week’s issue of Famitsu reveals. It will launch in Japan next spring. English and Japanese text support will be included.
