Adult Swim Games and Videocult have just released Rain World on the Switch eShop. This comes as a bit of a surprise, as we didn’t know about this previously.

Final Fantasy X is one of the few entries in the series that received a sequel. During a community broadcast for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT today, Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase was asked about a possible third game.

Voice actress Marika Kouno asked if there’s been any consideration other than X-2 for a spinoff, sequel, or some sort of DLC. That prompted Kitase to say:

The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human

Digerati is preparing yet another game for Switch. Starting later this month, the award-winning sci-fi metroidvania The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human will be available on the eShop.

New Star Games has announced that its simulation title New Star Manager is in development for Switch. A specific release window was not confirmed.

Godly Corp is in the works for Switch, TR8 Torus Studios has announced. This will be the first game from the developer.

Godly Corp is a simulator in which you play as an omnipotent intern who acts on a cosmic scale. The game promises “intense tentacle-based gameplay, unpredictable tasks and a large portion of absurd humor.”

Hamster revealed the latest round of NeoGeo titles for Switch during a live broadcast on Niconico today.

As mentioned yesterday, Puzzle Bobble should be launching next Thursday. Other upcoming titles include Puzzle Bobble 2, The King of Fighters 2002, Ragnagard, The Ultimate 11: SNK Football Championship, Ninja Master’s: Hao Ninpo Cho, and Kizuna Encounter.

We’ll give you the heads up on specific release dates for all of these games as they are announced.

When Ark: Survival Evolved was announced for Switch, it came as a bit of a surprise. After all, the game doesn’t exactly run well on other platforms. Now that the Switch port is finally here, Digital Foundry is taking a closer look at it from a technical perspective.

Unfortunately, visual quality has been heavily scaled back on Switch. As one example, most foliage is gone in the forest and objects pop in just before the player. Textures themselves have been reduced, and texture filtering is also very poor. Shadows are also a problem as they’ll constantly change based on your position.
