Baltoro Games is gearing up for the launch of Trash Punk on Switch, the company announced today. The title is slated for December 25, 2023.

Trash Punk is an arcade style roguelike set in a world where the seemingly ordinary opossum meets the extraordinary. Further details are included in the following overview:

My Nintendo 2024 desktop calendar

My Nintendo has updated with a couple of new rewards, including a desktop calendar and holiday ornament. Currently they are only available in North America.

For the calendar, each month features different characters from a variety of Switch games. Nintendo specifically stated that Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Princess Peach: Showtime are two titles that can be found within the calendar. However, thanks to one of the graphics on the official site, we also know that Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Luigi’s Mansion are featured.

Potion Craft surprise launch

Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator was previously announced for Switch. However, what we didn’t know is when the title would actually be available. It turns out the wait is over, as you can pick it up right now.

The game was first made known for Switch exactly one year ago. tinyBuild was hoping to publish it this past spring, but that didn’t end up happening and we didn’t have any updates until today.

Freedom Planet 2 delayed

Freedom Planet 2 has been delayed on consoles, including Switch. XSEED Games and GalaxyTrail confirmed today that it’s been pushed back to Spring 2024. 

Freedom Planet 2 was last planned for this past summer. Now the game is moving out of 2023 entirely – which isn’t a surprise given how little time there is left in the year.

Itorah physical

Today, Red Art Games announced that it’s working on a physical release of Itorah for Switch. It’s due out in Q2 2024.

Itorah will be sold standalone and as a Deluxe Edition. The standard edition will be sold everywhere, but the Deluxe Edition will be exclusive to the Red Art Games online store. It includes a copy of the game, a sleeve, and an exclusive art book.

E3 dead

The Electronic Entertainment Expo, which has been a staple of the gaming industry for over twenty years, is officially dead. The Entertainment Software Association announced today that it’s pulling the plug on the event permanently.

E3 has been home to some of the biggest gaming announcements, news, presentations, and hands-on opportunities of the year. However, 2019 was the last time it was fully operational. The coronavirus pandemic impacted E3, and the event was never able to recover.

Rising Lords

Rising Lords is heading to Switch, publisher Deck13 and developer Argonwood announced today. The title is scheduled for January 18, 2024.

Rising Lords, a medieval turn-based strategy game, has previously been in Early Access on PC. The Switch version will launch with cross-platform multiplayer, a map editor, and more.

Yohane the Parhelion: Numazu in the Mirage

September 22: Today, BeXide announced its upcoming project Yohane the Parhelion: Numazu in the Mirage. Switch will be receiving the title on February 22, 2024.

The game is a roguelike deckbuilder that acts as a spin-off of Love Live! Sunshine. More information can be found in the following overview:

Wildfrost The Storm Bells update 1.1.0

Wildfrost started to go live with a new version 1.1.0 update today known as “The Storm Bell”.

This is said to be the biggest update for the game thus far. It includes a new Storm Bell difficulty system, Chiseled and Golden card frames, big card and charm balancing reworks, improved dailies, bug fixes, and more.
