September 10: Publisher Microids and developer Magic Pockets are bringing Space Adventure Cobra: The Awakening to Switch, the two sides announced today. The game launches in 2025.
Space Adventure Cobra: The Awakening is an action platformer based on the famous anime series. Players will need to get to the bottom of a a mysterious threat hanging over the entire universe with their loyal partner Lady Armaroid.

Crazy Goat Games today unveiled its new game, which is Tamer Town. The title will be appearing on Nintendo Switch 2 in Q1 2027.
Tamer Town is somewhat like Pokemon, but with a city builder twist. You’ll be collecting Mokitons that fight alongside you, but also work, explore, and live.

December 10: Statera Studio, in partnership with Wired Dreams Studio, announced that Arashi Gaiden is coming to Nintendo Switch. As of now it has a very tentative Q4 2025 release window.
Arashi Gaiden is a turn-based action game at its core. This one is actually set in the same world as Pocket Bravery and “expands the story of an important part of the game’s Japanese core.”

Nintendo is back with another update for Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and as of today, players can download version 1.1.3.
The patch is again about those playing the collection on Nintendo Switch 2. According to the official notice, some issues have been fixed.

The latest Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch firmware update just went live with version 20.2.0.
A couple of specific issues have been addressed, which involve Parental Control transfers and being stuck in Internet Settings while searching for networks. On top of that, we get the traditional stability updates.

July 6: A new package of classic games is bound for Nintendo Switch with the Beat ‘Em Up Collection. It will be available on July 17, 2025.
Beat ‘Em Up Collection comes from QUByte Interactive. First Samurai, Second Samurai, Gourmet Warriors, Iron Commando, Legend, Sword of Sodan, and The Tale of Clouds and Winds are included.

Bluey: The Videogame has been on Nintendo Switch for quite some time now, but the game will be receiving a new Gnome Plush Bundle later in 2025.

Limited Run Games is planning a new Freddi Fish Collection for Nintendo Switch, the company announced today.
A total of five titles are included on the cartridge. The lineup is Freddi Fish: The Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds, Freddi Fish 2: The Case of The Haunted Schoolhouse, Freddi Fish 3: The Case of the Stolen Conch Shell, Freddi Fish 4: The Case of The Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch, and Freddi Fish 5: The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove.

According to a report from IGN, Nintendo is implementing changes that developers and publishers need to follow if they intend on releasing games on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop. As of now we only have confirmation that Japan and Asia are affected.
If you’ve browsed the Nintendo eShop on the original Switch, you’ve probably encountered some questionable titles. There are projects that use AI, copycats, and other things that gamers have generally categorized as “slop”. Overall, plenty of low effort games have made their way to Nintendo’s store and it’s become an increasingly bigger problem throughout the years.
