Today, the brand new Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller was unveiled. As has been previously rumored, it will include an audio jack.
That’s the main new feature this time around. If you own a Nintendo Switch 1 Pro Controller, the layout and everything else should look pretty familiar.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is being made alongside the new console, it’s been announced. It will be available as a paid digital game.
This is a new game that teachers users about the system. For example, you can learn different secrets such as how the Joy-Con magnets work. A variety of mini games will be included. It’s essentially a a virtual exhibition also containing tech demos and other interactions.

Nintendo confirms 4K support for Switch 2, screen supports up to 120FPS

As part of the various news emerging about Switch 2 today, Nintendo has confirmed some specs including that the console will include 4K support and the screen will support up to 120FPS.
The system being able to output in that resolution has been rumored and discussed for quite some time. However, a report was published a few days ago that development kits did not support it, causing some to believe that the feature would be missing. Nintendo’s announcement confirms that 4K will indeed be present within Nintendo Switch 2. HDR is also supported in TV mode.
Mario Kart World officially announced for Nintendo Switch 2

In what will come as no surprise to many, Nintendo officially revealed Mario Kart World for Switch 2 today. It launches alongside the new hardware.
Various elements were shown in the first trailer, including wall grinding and wall jumping, costumes, and more. Time of day and weather conditions will impact the atmosphere. Additionally, you can go off the race track. There’s still Grand Prix, but you’ll drive to the next course as part of the next competition. Knockout Tour has you racing nonstop from one part of the world to another with multiple checkpoints that cause elimination. Free Roam is also included in which you can freely drive around the world.

The big moment is almost upon us with Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 beginning in just one hour. Fans can tune in starting at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe. The event should be going on for about an hour.
Nintendo has actually said very little about today’s presentation. However, what you can expect is a huge blowout of Nintendo Switch 2, including various game announcements. Nintendo should also be explaining what new this time, and we’d be surprised if we didn’t get a release date.

Clumsy Bear Studio is bringing its upcoming project Hungry Horrors to Nintendo Switch, the developer confirmed today. We’ll be seeing it sometime after the PC version.
Hungry Horrors is a culinary roguelite deckbuilder. In it, players strategically cook and serve authentic traditional dishes to legendary monsters.

Another Arcade Archives game is on the way with Hamster announcing Assault Plus. It’s due out worldwide tomorrow, April 3.
Namco first released Assault Plus in 1988, but it was only available in Japan. It’s a top-down multi-directional shooter in which players control a tank and battle enemies.

According to a claim from NateTheHate, Nintendo Switch Online will be adding GameCube games at some point.
That information was shared in a new podcast published today. He said that he’s heard about Nintendo’s plans to bring GameCube support to Nintendo Switch Online, which is “a question of when, not if.” While not fully committing to that news being shared during tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct for Switch 2, it’s apparently “very likely”.

Super Technos World: River City & Technos Arcade Classics is closing in on its release date, and it’s now confirmed that the physical release in Japan will support English.
Japanese, English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese will all be on the cartridge. With Nintendo Switch being region-free, it’s possible for any system owner to buy the game and play it on their system.
