Earthlock: Festival of Magic, which finally released on Wii U this month after a lengthy wait, is officially making the jump for Switch. Cross Function will be publishing the game in Japan this winter, and we’ll likely be seeing it in the west around the same time.

SnowCastle teased a Switch version earlier this month. We pretty much knew it would be happening, but it’s nice to have the confirmation.

Miitomo has been updated with new content. Players can nab the latest items in the Miitomo Drop stage, “Fairy-tale favorites! Little Red Riding Hood #2”.

Available items include:

– Archer hat
– Wolf’s disguise night cap
– Archer outfit
– Big Bad Wolf nightgown disguise

Users can select Miitomo Drop stages from the Shop tab. Miitomo coins or game tickets are needed to play.

A number of announcements were made during last week’s Nintendo Direct. Among these was a Switch port of Dragon Quest Builders, slated for Spring 2018.

We won’t need to wait much longer for additional news. During the Tokyo Game Show later this week, Square Enix will have additional information to share.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is also coming to Switch. Square Enix announced the sequel a few weeks ago, though it’s without a final release window. It may debut towards the latter end of 2018.

GameXplain put together a video comparing the original version of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga to the 3DS remake. Get a look at how the two stack up against each other below.

The Japanese-exclusive Dragon Quest X: All-In One Package will be a hefty download on Switch. An updated eShop listing for the game reveals the file size requirement.

As far as the base download goes, Dragon Quest X takes up 9.4GB. However, an extra 24GB of free space in order to play. Nintendo also warns that the required free space could increase in the future.

Earlier in the month, Nintendo and Best Buy halted the Miami qualifying round for the Nintendo World Championships 2017 due to the threat from Hurricane Irma. Nintendo now has an update on the situation.

Sadly, the qualifying round will not be rescheduled as a result of the hurricane’s “ongoing effects”. Nintendo says that “the two remaining spots in the tournament will instead be filled by selecting the participants from other regions with the best non-qualifying times.” It’s unfortunate, but there’s not much that can be done in this sort of situation.
