Earlier today, the Dragon Quest-themed attraction opened at Universal Studios Japan. Series creator Yuji Horii was present, and shared a message during the opening ceremony.

About Dragon Quest XI, Horii teased:

“Everyone in the staff is working incredibly hard on it. I believe we’ll have some kind of announcement in the coming days, so please look forward to it.”

The common consensus is that Dragon Quest XI will finally be receiving a Japanese release date soon. Square Enix has previously spoken about wanting to have the RPG out within the series’ 30th anniversary, so the company has until May 27 to launch the game. It is possible though that XI won’t be ready until later in the year though.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is featured in Famitsu this week, and Serenes Forest went to the trouble of translating the new information. Continue on below for a roundup of details from the magazine.

– Use this to rewind the actions of units one unit at a time
– Ex: Mae gets KO’d by a Mercenary on Turn 1; rewind back to before the Mercenary attacked and try again
– There are limits and it can’t be easily abused
– Gear icon in the bottom-right corner of the bottom screen is related to Mila’s Gear
– The number may indicate the number of actions you can rewind
– As previously mentioned, also use Mila’s Gear with amiibo

Taiko no Tatsujin has regularly appeared on dedicated game systems, but it also has various versions in arcades. Yesterday, the new Taiko no Tatsujin: Yellow Version was released in Japan, and it even features a song from Splatoon – specifically Calamari Inkantation from the Squid Sisters.

News has been making the rounds about Russian retailer Game Buy listing Batman: The Telltale Series for Switch. Originally, we were going to skip mentioning this. Game Buy isn’t exactly a well-known retailer after all.

But looking into the listing a bit more shows something interesting. Game Buy isn’t the only retailer with a page for Batman: The Telltale Series on Switch. UK stores ozgameshop and 365games also seem to think that it’s happening.

It goes without saying that retailer listings don’t always correlate to announcements. If Telltale does say anything officially about Batman: The Telltale Series coming to Switch, we’ll pass that along on the site.

We originally posted about Battle Princess Madelyn last month. In February, Casual Bit Games confirmed the project for Switch and Wii U. What we didn’t know at the time though is that a Kickstarter campaign would be involved.

For those interested in Battle Princess Madelyn, the game is seeking $60,000 (CA) in funding. It just opened with a month to go, and already has generated about $7,500. Assuming the goal is met, Battle Princess Madelyn will be on both of Nintendo’s consoles in the future.
