Inti Creates announces its first Nintendo Switch 2 game Majogami, also coming to Switch

Today, Inti Creates unveiled Majogami as its first game for Nintendo Switch 2. The title releases on October 30, 2025, and it will launch on the original Nintendo Switch as well.
Majogami, a project celebrating Inti Creates’ 30th anniversary, is a 2D action platformer. Players take on the role of Shiroha who must slice her way through a twisted paper craft world controlled by the mad Craft Witches.

Co-op survival horror game Noroi Kago: The Grudged Domain slated for Nintendo Switch

Noroi Kago: The Grudged Domain is getting a new Nintendo Switch version, publisher Toei Animation and developer Toydium have announced. A release is scheduled for August 28, 2025.
Noroi Kago: The Grudged Domain is a yo-kai-based cooperative survival horror game. This one is a little different as co-op is supported for up to four players, and the goal is to find a way out of a cursed domain.

Octodad finally seeing Nintendo Switch physical release

It’s taken a few years, but Octodad: Dadliest Catch is receiving the physical release treatment on Nintendo Switch.
The game appeared on the console way back in 2017. Now after several years as a digital title, Limited Run Games is preparing a boxed version. There aren’t plans for any special editions, but we’ll take what we can get.
Monument Valley: The Trilogy Nintendo Switch physical release announced

Thanks to a new partnership between iam8bit and Ustwo Games, the Monument Valley is getting a full physical release on Nintendo Switch with Monument Valley: The Trilogy. It will be available on October 30, 2025.
For both the global retail edition and iam8bit Exclusive Edition, fans will receive Monument Valley, Monument Valley 2, and Monument Valley 3 on a single cartridge along with a set of six art cards showcasing some of the monuments and puzzles from the games. The iam8bit Exclusive Edition adds a special O-sleeve. Pre-orders come with an official game soundtrack download code
Nintendo explains why Pauline was made young in Donkey Kong Bananza

It goes without saying that Donkey Kong is the star of Donkey Kong Bananza, but young Pauline – who’s 13 years old in the title – is pretty important as well. Aside from accompanying Donkey Kong on his journey, she plays a role in the gameplay.
Now thanks to an interview with producer Kenta Motokura and director Kazuya Takahashi, we have some information about why Pauline is in the game. Having a character journey with Donkey Kong was always a part of the plan. Eventually concept art for the zebra transformation was made, it was prototyped, music was made, and that music was turned into a song.

If you’re wondering why we’re finally getting a new 3D Donkey Kong game with the upcoming launch of Donkey Kong Bananza, you can thank Yoshiaki Koizumi.
According to producer Kenta Motokura, it was Koizumi that made the push. Koizumi was most recently the producer of Super Mario Odyssey. He was also the director of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat.
