Pokemon Home update 2.1.1

Pokemon Home received another update today, with the app moving up to version 2.1.1.

There are a couple of new additions here. First, data for Online and Friendly Competitions in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has been added. Also included is the ability to view Pokemon Natures in Battle Data.

Curse of the Dead Gods physical

Limited Run Games today revealed that it’s working on a physical release of Curse of the Dead Gods for Switch. 

Alongside a standard version, there’ll be a Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition contains a double-sided poster, soundtrack, and the game in a premium collector’s box.

A new trailer has come online for the Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Tower of Doooom DLC, which is the first piece of the game’s season pass. A teaser was previously shown, but we now have a proper look.

As a reminder, the DLC involves Madame Bwahstrella asking Mario, Rabbid Peach, and their friends to clean her multi-dimensional tower and save their old friend Spawny. Included is a new combat game mode in which players take on highly strategic battles as they make their way to the top of the Tower.

Gunman Tales

Ratalaika Games will release FobTi interactive’s action adventure game Gunman Tales on Switch this week, the company has announced. The title is slated for March 3, 2023.

Gunman Tales, which is set in the wild west, is inspired by Amiga Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight and Cabal. Learn more about it below. 

Christ Pratt Mario movie casting

A lot has been made about Chris Pratt voicing Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. As the lead of the film, nailing that character and choosing the right actor for the role is one of the most important aspects of the whole project.

Aaron Horvath, one of the directors on The Super Mario Bros. Movie, recently explained why Pratt landed the role of Mario. He told Total Film magazine that it “made total sense” and he’s “really good at playing a blue-collar hero with a ton of heart.”

Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories delayed

We’ll have to wait a bit longer for Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories, as XSEED just announced a delay for the game.

Originally, the retro-inspired story-exploration game was planned for March 7, 2023. It will now be launching on April 6 instead. A reason for the delay was not provided.

Switch Online app update 2.5.0

A new update was released today for the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app, with version 2.5.0 being made available for download.

There are a couple of things here related to Splatoon 3. First, the game’s widgets can be accessed on the lock screen in iOS 16. Also, content that appears on the Splatoon 3 widgets has been updated.

Mini Motorways Bridge to Busan update

Dinosaur Polo Club is preparing even more content for Mini Motorways having just announced a new “Bridge to Busan” update. This should be available on March 8, 2023.

The award-winning minimalist strategy traffic management sim is welcoming the city of Busan to the roster of maps. It’s noted, “Home to more than 3.5 million residents and known for its gorgeous beaches at the Southeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula, Busan is a bustling city that needs the help of a quick and capable civil engineer.”

Fitness Circuit

Spike Chunsoft today announced Fitness Circuit, a sports / fitness game for Switch. It will launch in North America, Europe, and parts of Asia on May 26, 2023.
