More:

Pac-Man World Re-Pac producer Yuji Yoshii has shared a bit of insight into the development and graphical updates for the game.

Yoshii said in a recent interview that the project took about two years to make, and thankfully the process went “relatively smoothly.” He also acknowledged that the remake came about in part due to “the requests from fans for the return of Pac-Man World for so many years”.

Octopath Traveler II HD 2D

Octopath Traveler II is bringing back the HD-2D graphical style of the first game. However, with other Square Enix titles having made use of the look and thanks to more experience, the aesthetic has evolved.

Producer Masashi Takahashi and director Keisuke Miyauchi spoke more about this in an interview with Famitsu. We also get to hear the developers talk about the game’s camerawork and character proportions.

Fire Emblem Engage Chloe

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems are back with another character introduction for Fire Emblem Engage, this time highlighting Chloe. Some tidbits and a couple of clips were posted on Twitter while Serenes Forest has helped out with the translation.

The character, a palace knight from the Kingdom of Firene, is voiced by Saori Hayami in Japanese. She’s easy-going and adores her liege, Princess Celine. Chloe is also big on fairy tales and pretty scenery and is always seeking a picturesque combination of the two.

Bayonetta 3 Hellena Taylor second response

Hellena Taylor has again weighed in on the voice acting situation with Bayonetta 3, and has now confirmed that she was offered more than $4,000.

Hellena initially said earlier this month that she received “an insulting offer” to voice Bayonetta for the series’ third entry. In the end, she said the final offer was $4,000. However, Bloomberg then reported a few days after that PlatinumGames actually offered Taylor between $3,000 and $4,000 per session for at least five sessions. The outlet noted Taylor asked for a six-figure fee and residuals in response. Taylor was asked for a comment and denied Bloomberg’s report.

Bayonetta 3 frame rate resolution

Bayonetta 3 is finally here on Switch, and Digital Foundry has now explored the game from a technical standpoint, including frame rate and resolution. It unfortunately seems that things are a bit rough in this department, but perhaps PlatinumGames will patch things up with a future update.

Here are the notable tidbits:

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo
