Wind-up Knight 2 is launching on the North American Wii U eShop tomorrow. Interestingly, it appears that a New 3DS port is in the works as well. Some off-screen footage is posted below.

Unity 5 is being used as a base for the engine’s support on New 3DS. There have been plans to offer a beta to developers this summer, and have titles on the eShop by the end of this year.

Here’s a recording of an event held about the New 3DS at Unite Europe 2015 late last month:

Thanks to Brian and josemmmejia for the tip.

Update: IronFall Invasion has also been removed from the North American 3DS eShop, likely for the same reason.

Announced via one of Nintendo’s Twitter accounts, IronFall Invasion has been temporarily removed from the European 3DS eShop. It will likely be re-added to the digital store at some point in the future.

Nintendo didn’t say why IronFall Invasion was removed from the eShop, but the reasoning is pretty clear. It was recently revealed that the download could be used for homebrew on 3DS.

It’s been a long time coming, but Nintendo Everything’s longest-running feature with the lowest number of updates is back and ready to cover a whole new platform of import games. I not so recently bought a Japanese New 3DS while overseas so now I can actually write about games that came out during this decade. And now six months later I’m finally taking some time out from managing my Girls Mode 3 store and decorating my home menu with badges of Waluigi in a train to review my favourite Japan-exclusive 3DS title I’ve played so far – Daigasso! Band Brothers P. This game mixes rhythm gameplay with the ability to create and share your own composition to create a unique experience that’s unlike anything else on the 3DS. There aren’t many other games that do such a great job of making players feel like they’re part of a band – and without a single plastic instrument, too!

Image & Form is planning a game that connects SteamWorld Heist and SteamWorld Dig. That’s according to Brjann Sigurgeirsson, who shared the information during an interview with Power Up Gaming.

When asked if Steamworld Heist ties into Steamworld Dig, Sigurgeirsson said:

“It does, yeah. There are some flashbacks. But there is at least one game coming in between so that game is sort of going to tie them both backwards and forwards.”

Sigurgeirsson sadly didn’t provide any additional details. He was asked about what sort of game Image & Form has in mind, but only mentioned:

“I’m not sure. *Laughs* Well, I’m not sure I’m going to talk about it. *Laughs* Right now we’re sort of focusing on Heist so I don’t want to get into details about it.”
