The Legend of Korra: A New Era Begins could be launching in North America next week. Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and GameFly are all listing an October 28 release date. Activision has yet to officially confirm a final date, strangely enough!

Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Best Buy has a one-day sale running on its website that discounts various items. You can save $25 on a few 3DS XL systems including the recently-released Smash Bros. models. Additionally, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call is $10 off.

Again, this sale is only live for one day. Be sure to keep that in mind!

Not many details have been released so far, but here is what we know:
– Quater view battle setup
– Story surounds the use of the “song magic” and “witches”

Stay tuned as more updates will come.

Japanese 3DS owners now have access to a couple of new 3DS themes inspired by the latest One Piece brawler. Check out a couple of screenshots of them below!

The Final Fantasy Explorers official website was recently updated and it added a whole lot of new content, most notably some in-game shots of Bartz from Final Fantasy V and Tidus and Yuna from Final Fantasy X! There’s quite a lot of new stuff including a heap of new screenshots and a few job trailers, which we’ve placed after the jump.

Bandai Namco’s new teaser site for Assassination Classroom: Grand Siege on Kurosensei can be found here. Three screenshots are included on the page, though they’re a bit difficult to see given how small they are. Other than that, there isn’t much to see currently!

There’s more talk going around about Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS potentially supporting DLC.

Messages have apparently been found in the 3DS version that could be used to create data for downloadable content, for instance. Other recently-discovered code could allow for character and stage DLC to be loaded.

Rumor has it that the shop will be titled “Notifications Shop” – at least in Japanese.

Will any of this pan out? Will Smash Bros. actually get any DLC? Only time will tell…
