GreigaMaster has poked through the code of Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 and spotted something rather interesting. A number of strings in the game are specifically for 3DS.

First, several strings line up with 3DS multiplayer functionality. References have also been found regarding saving replay and game data to an SD Card. Finally, one of the directories has the file “msg_3DS.bin”.

Atlus has a new Etrian Odyssey V trailer focusing on the Masurao class. We have the video along with a brief introduction below.

Do you know what’s really effective against the deadly creatures that call the Yggdrasil tree home? If you said katanas, you’re absolutely right! Luckily, the Therian Masurao in Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth just so happens to delight in slicing and dicing with beautifully crafted Japanese swords. They can be slotted in the frontline to slash everything in their path and can even attack multiple opponents in a single attack. Oh, they can also lure rare enemies into combat to get better items and gain more experience with the New Challenger skill. The better the skill, the rarer the enemies, and the greater the rewards! The Masurao can specialize in using one sword to become a master of the blade or it can learn to wield up to four of them and become a bona fide sword saint.

The Snack World, Level-5’s latest game, was released last week in Japan for 3DS. Level-5 has more in store for the game though – two DLC packs will be released for it in the coming months. The first one, titled “Dragon Knight’s Trial!!” will be released in October, while the second one, “The Demon of Destruction! The Advent of Demiglass!!” will be released in January 2018. Each pack contains new dungeons, bosses, Snacks and Jara. They cost 900 yen if purchased individually, but only 1,500 yen if you buy the Season Pass, which gets you both.

Level-5 announced last year that The Snack World will be released outside of Japan, but we haven’t heard anything about any Western release plans since then.

The July 2017 issue of Nintendo Dream had a massive interview about Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Producer Hitoshi Yamagami (Nintendo), director Kenta Nakanishi (Nintendo), director Toshiyuki Kusakihara (Intelligent Systems), and producer Masahiro Higuchi (Intelligent Systems) participated in the discussion.

Among the topics discussed were the use of realistic proportions (which will be carried over into the upcoming Switch title), why Alm is left-handed, and a whole lot more. We’ve picked out some of the notable excerpts below. You can read the full interview on Kantopia.

Game Informer published another piece of content from its month long coverage of Pokemon coverage. This time around, a video has gone live with Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda and Shigeru Ohmori showing design documents, and sketches from Sun/Moon’s development. Watch the video below.
