Nintendo Life has published a new interview with Jonathan Bennink, the lead designer on LEGO Super Mario. Bennink spoke about the earliest designs, how Nintendo dropped the product 6,000 times each time a new build was sent to them, approval for sound effects and getting new voice lines from Charles Martinet, and being able to have meetings with Koji Kondo – which usually doesn’t happen.

It’s been nearly a week now since the big Nintendo leak involving game prototypes, source code, and more. But discoveries pertaining to some of the companies older games continue to emerge, and if you’re a fan of history or some of the Big N’s classics, you might be interested in some of the latest findings.
Among the leaks is the discovery of human NPCs in the original Animal Crossing while it was being developed for the N64, and we even have a few images of these characters. Another major finding is are in-development sprites of Mario with wings from Super Mario World.

Pac-Man Monopoly revealed

Hasbro has teamed up with Bandai Namco on a new Pac-Man version of Monopoly. It’s the same board game that’s been around for ages, but with a unique twist. When players pass “Go”, they’ll play a mini game of Pac-Man.

The Nintendo leaks that have sprung up since late last week are continuing as fans are still combing through the many files and assets. We have another batch of interesting findings relating to a number of N64 games. With Animal Crossing for instance (which only made it to Japan on the N64), a few unused characters have been found from early development. Fans have also shared footage of a beta dungeon in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, images of another scrapped Super Mario 64 enemy, and even a look at a cut Mario Kart 64 track.

Video: Luigi development model finally restored in Super Mario 64 after 24 years

24 years after the launch of Super Mario 64 on the N64, Luigi’s model has finally been restored in the game.
Luigi was originally planned for the 3D platformer through splitscreen multiplayer. However, Nintendo abandoned the idea after the team was unable to implement the idea.

Paper Mario: The Origami King’s launch sales compared to series’ other debuts in Japan

Paper Mario: The Origami King released in Japan last week, and Famitsu reported that the game sold 109,000 copies in its first few days. We now have a chart comparing the debut for every Paper Mario game in Japan (including Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam since it features that character).

Yesterday brought us another substantial Nintendo leak. Game protoypes, source code, and other data began to spread online. If that wasn’t enough, we found out about a pitch for an online Pokemon PC title and were able to get an early look at some classic games, including beta sprites and early designs.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, yet another major Nintendo leak has turned up today. The latest one is all about the N64 such as the system’s operating system and lots of games.
Mega Man live-action movie still on the way, “big news” coming soon

A Mega Man movie was first said to be in the works in September 2017. It was a year later that Capcom announced a live-action film based on the franchise. There hasn’t been much in the way of updates, but the project is still in the works.
Speaking with IGN, birectors Henry Joost and Rel Schulman briefly provided an update. Joost also indicated that “big news” is coming soon.
Joost as well as Schulman shared the following:
