My Nintendo adds Pokemon discounts, Pokemon Crystal wallpaper in North America

My Nintendo is celebrating this week’s announcement of Pokemon Crystal for the 3DS Virtual Console with new rewards. Discounts have been added in addition to a wallpaper.
On the discount front, you can save 30% on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team (Wii U) for 140 Platinum Points. There are also 30% discounts on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team (Wii U) and Pokemon Trading Card Game (3DS) for 20 Gold Points each.

Capcom aware of interest in new Mega Man Legends and Mega Man Battle Network games

Capcom is finally starting to show its dedication to Mega Man. Next year’s Mega Man 11 certainly helps, and the company also intends to re-release all of the Mega Man X games across various platforms in 2018.
Mega Man 11 fills the role of resurrecting the series that started it all. However, there are other parts of Mega Man that have long been dormant, including Mega Man Legends and Mega Man Battle Network.
First 4 Figures making a new Shovel Knight statue

First 4 Figures has started taking pre-orders for a brand new Shovel Knight statue. Different options are up for grabs, including an Ornate Plate Armor edition. They’re pricey though as First 4 Figures products tend to be – the statue will cost you anywhere between $300 and $550.
You can pre-order the new Shovel Knight statue here. Note, however, that reservations will only be live until December 22.

SNES Classic Edition up on Walmart

Nintendo’s Nine Months Earnings Release scheduled for January 31

Our next financial update from Nintendo won’t be too far from now. The company has updated its IR calendar, confirming that its Nine Months Earnings Release will take place on January 31.
What can we expect to hear? Well, don’t expect any major announcements, as that’s what Nintendo Directs tend to be for. But you’ll definitely see Nintendo talking about things like Switch sales, hardware sales in general, how its mobile games are doing, and other topics of that nature. These events sometimes have other interesting news and tidbits from time to time, but just keep in mind that it won’t be a conference or video presentation.
Nintendo has filed a patent for a Passive Walking Device

We’ve seen all sorts of Nintendo patents over the years. Most are generally tied to gaming, as you would expect, but the latest one truly comes out of left field.
A Nintendo patent filed for a “Passive Walking Device and Passive Walking Module” was published today. As far as we can tell, there isn’t a ton going on in the filing aside from a device that is capable of walking on its own, sort of like the video below.
Build-A-Bear announces partnership with Nintendo for Super Mario products

Build-A-Bear has announced a new partnership with Nintendo for a slew of Mario products. Three new Make-Your-Own Super Mario plushies are joining the store, in addition to a pre-stuffed Toad, sound chips, and accessories.

Game Party Japan 2018 will have the first live performance from Off the Hook

In 2016, the Squid Sisters from Splatoon held their first performance at Game Party Japan. With the release of Splatoon 2 earlier this year, something similar will be happening once again.
Nintendo has announced that Game Party Japan 2018 will feature Off the Hook’s Pearl and Marina in their first live performance on February 10. The appearance of other guests have also been teased. Based on the official poster above, we can probably expect the Squid Sisters to return.
Other than that, we don’t have any additional information just yet. We should know more leading up to the event in February.
