At the Digital Dragons event in Poland this week, Hirokazu Yasuhara hosted a special presentation. Yasuhara was a designer and director on various Sonic games.

We’ve already seen early Sonic the Hedgehog 2 map sketches, including a look at the cut Genocide City level. But as it turns out, those weren’t the only images Yasuhara shared. One shows that Sonic 2 was originally planned to have a time travel theme while another couple show design sketches from before Sonic 1. Take a look at the latest images below.

Nintendo games haven’t been sold in Brazil since January 2015. However, the company now appears to be returning.

These titles are going through the classification process for release in Brazil:

1-2 Switch (Switch)

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon (3DS)
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam (3DS)
Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright (3DS)
Kirby: Planet Robot (3DS)

Unfortunately, Prices are expected to be on the rise. While they were previously at R$330 to R$400, which would be the equivalent of US$90+ to US$120. NC Games, a local importer for games in Brazil, will be handling the distribution of Nintendo’s various titles.

A rather silly rumor has been making the rounds over the past day or so. In the latest Boys’ Life magazine, a quote was found that led some people to believe that Nintendo will be announcing new Animal Crossing and Pikmin games for Switch at E3.

The quote is as follows:

“Since Nintendo already launched its Switch console and the epic Zelda: Breath of the Wild earlier this year, what’s left to announce? Updates on cool Switch games like Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Animal Crossing and even a new Pikmin title.”

GameXplain reached out to the source directly for an answer. As expected, Boys’ Life did say that this was only conjecture. If new Animal Crossing and / or Pikmin games are announced, it’ll merely be a coincidence.
