Renegade Kid is no more. The studio’s co-founders, Jools Watsham and Gregg Hargrove, have decided to end their partnership of creating games together after ten years.

Watsham and Hargrove will now go in different directions. Watsham will be making games at Atooi while Hargrove will be at Infitizmo. Atooi will acquire the rights to all Renegade Kid 2D games, which encompasses the likes of Mutant Mudds and Treasurenauts. Meanwhile, Infitizmo will own the 3D series such as Dementium and Moon Chronicles.

In today’s announcement, it’s mentioned that Watsham and Hargrove’s “friendship and respect for each other” remains “very much intact”.

It’s not too often that we hear about the Nintendo games made for the CD-i. And there’s good reason for that: they’re largely considered to be some of the worst titles out there. They weren’t actually created by Nintendo, as Philips handled them instead.

Philips worked with two developers on a few Nintendo games for the CD-i. There were a trio of Zelda titles, along with Hotel Mario.

Stephen Radosh was one of the people who was very involved with the Nintendo efforts on CD-i. On Hotel Mario, he was executive producer. While he wasn’t there for the initial negotiations Philips had, Nintendo was said to be quite cooperative.

Radosh told Game Informer this month:

“They could have kept saying no, and then it would have never hit the market. I was expecting nothing but combative, and I got the exact opposite.”

“I still had to get approval from Nintendo on everything, because these were their trademark characters. And anyone who owns trademark characters will tell you, you don’t want Link having sex with Zelda on the ramparts of the castle.”

The Art of Grasshopper Manufacture has been given a heavy discount on Amazon. It’s currently at $15, which is over 60 percent off. You’ll be able to see more of Suda51’s games, including No More Heroes and Killer7.

The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Graphics may not be a standalone book. Inside the collection, which just came out in Japan yesterday, specific wording hints at more releases. We may see a second book this winter followed by a third in 2017. Obviously there have not been any specific announcements yet.

In North America and Europe, Zelda: Hyrule Graphics is known as The Legend of Zelda: Art and Artifacts. It will be available next February.

One of the regular live streams was held earlier today for Fire Emblem 0, the Fire Emblem trading card game. Its producer, a representative from Intelligent Systems, and a couple of voice actors were in attendance.

Today’s big news is that an eighth series is happening, and it will feature cards from Awakening and Genealogy of the Holy War. We only have one piece of art showing Altenna.

Other than that, Fire Emblem 0 series 7 now has a release date. Japan will be receiving it on December 7. Fire Emblem Fates and Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword will encompass the upcoming series.

Check out the gallery below for a look at a bunch of screen caps from the live stream.

Back when VIZ Media announced the “Legendary Edition” volumes for the various Zelda manga, we heard about two that are arriving over the next few months. Ocarina of Time is up first in November, followed by Oracle of Ages/Seasons in January. We now have news about the two other volumes.

Majora’s Mask and A Link to the Past will comprise volume 3, with a release planned for March 2017. The Minish Cap and Phantom Hourglass will then follow in May.

It’s also worth mentioning that pre-orders for the third and fourth Legendary Edition volumes are on sale over at Amazon. Majora’s Mask/A Link to the Past as well as Minish Cap/Phantom Hourglass are down to about $12.
