Fast Company is the latest outlet to have shared an interview with Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. Reggie was asked about the lack of certain features for Switch, what people should be getting excited about for 2018, the Universal partnership, and more.

Funimation to begin selling first part of the Ace Attorney anime on Blu-ray / DVD in January

Original (10/17): It was over a year ago when we first heard about a dubbed version of the Ace Attorney anime. Finally, we have some new news to share.
Funimation added a listing to its website for the first part of the Ace Attorney anime. The debut 13 episodes will be sold as a Blu-ray / DVD combo. According to the listing, it’s planned for January 23.
The listing provides us with the following synopsis:
As a brand-new defense lawyer, Phoenix Wright is learning what it means to be a true defender of justice. But when his mentor is murdered, things go downhill fast! With all evidence pointing to the victim’s sister Maya, it’s up to Phoenix to use all his wit and powerful shouting to prove her innocence. Which is easier said than done when up against Miles Edgeworth, the genius prosecutor.

Nintendo will soon be opening pop-up experiences at 17 malls across across the United States for a limited time. Those who stop by can try out a variety of games for Switch and 3DS.
The Nintendo Holiday Experience will be open between November 11 and December 17 at the following locations:

I would also like to touch on the progress we have made for our download sales. This figure shows the download sales of digital content for dedicated video game platforms compared to past years. Sales through the second quarter were the highest in our history for a sixmonth period. Download sales for Nintendo Switch highly contribute to increase of total download sales.

The palm-sized Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition, a home console that recalls the nostalgia for Nintendo’s 1990s hardware, went on sale overseas in September, and in Japan in October.
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition has reached a sell-through of 2 million units worldwide, at latest tallies.

From the collaborations with Vans, Uniqlo, and LeSportsac in the fashion world to the recent crossover Mario + Rabbids title to the Super Nintendo World project with Universal Studios, it might be hard to remember a time when Nintendo seemed reserved in terms of joint ventures.
However, in a recent interview with Mashable, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime reasons that the company’s early experiences licensing its properties left a long-lasting, negative impression on many of Nintendo’s developers.

SEGA’s latest annual report has updated total sales figures for a bunch of different franchises. Along with data for its own series like Sonic, we also have numbers for IPs like Megami Tensei and Etrian Odyssey.

Nintendo had shipped 1.7 million SNES Classic units as of September 30th

We already knew that the SNES Classic is doing quite well so far – it sold over 368,000 units in Japan in its first four days on the market in Japan and it outsold all current consoles in the US in September. We now have some more concrete numbers coming from Nintendo’s recent financial results meeting. According to the Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki, Nintendo has stated that as of September 30th, 1.7 million units of the SNES Classics had been shipped worldwide.

The Zelda Encyclopedia Deluxe Edition cover features a gold foil paper with gloss lamination and a spot gritty varnish. The details are embossed and debossed, and it has gold gilding on the top and foredge, with black gilding on the bottom. It’s basically a tribute to the original Zelda cartridge.
