E3 could be in a different venue in 2016

“E3 is a world class show that deserves a world class venue. The Los Angeles Convention Center is no longer a top-tier property. The time to make this decision is relatively short. We’ll consider all cities that can improve the experience.”

Sonic CG-animated/live-action hybrid movie confirmed

Sony and producer Neal Moritz are bringing the best-selling Sega video game Sonic the Hedgehog to the big screen.
The studio is teaming with Marza Animation Planet, a CG animation film-production company based in Japan and a division of the Sega Sammy Group, to make a hybrid CG-animated/live-action feature.

“Amiibo” announced as Nintendo’s NFC figurine line – coming to Smash., Mario Kart 8

Nintendo has detailed “Amiibo”, its new NFC figurine line for Wii U and 3DS. As part of the initiate, Skylanders and Disney Infinity have special Wii U exclusive features.
When an Amiibo touches a GamePad, the data is downloaded into the game you’re playing. Additionally, information can be sent back to the figure
Super Smash Bros. will be the first Nintendo-published title to make use of Amiibo. There are plans for Mario Kart 8 to support the feature as well.
