Square Enix’s Jump Festa 2014 lineup

Square Enix has announced its official lineup for Jump Festa 2014. Later this month, the following titles will be playable at the event:
Dragon Quest X
Bravely Default: For the Sequel
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
Dragon Quest Monsters 2
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix
Dragon Quest VIII
Final Fantasy VI
Gyrozetter

Jump Festa 2014 will take place in Japan on December 21 and December 22.

One new game has been confirmed for the Japanese 3DS Virtual Console. Yoshi (Game Boy) will be out on December 11. Pricing is set at 400 yen.

Ice Hockey, Final Fantasy II hitting the Japanese Wii U VC next week

Two new Virtual Console games are on track for the Japanese Wii U eShop next week. Ice Hockey (Famicom) and Final Fantasy II (Famicom) will be out on December 11. Pricing is set at 500 yen each.

AMZY has shared a few new details about Phosphorescent Lanze, which is hitting the Japanese 3DS eShop this week. A roundup of the latest information is posted below.
– Set in another post-apocalyptic world
– Countries as we know them no longer exist
– The collapse of humanity’s biggest hope, the World Union, saw to that end
– Security forces have been created and mobilized to try to regain that which was lost
– Play as Eins
– Eins is a cyborg soldier with the power to transform between jet and human form
– Can switch anytime between forms to suit the situation
– Seren is the operator if the Ains
– Seren is formerly a student of the sciences
– Ratail: main opposing mech-lady for the enemy country/security forces

Luigi actor from 1980s Mario show passes away

Actor Danny Wells, who played Luigi in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show back in the 80s, has passed away. Wells died last Thursday at age 72. As a bit of an interesting tidbit, Wells’ actual name is Jack Westelman.
