Ash Ketchup champion Masters Eight Tournament

The Pokemon anime isn’t something we discuss here too often, but we’re making an exception due to a significant event in the series: Ash Ketchum is the official champion and has become the top Trainer in the Pokemon world after winning the Masters Eight Tournament of the Pokemon World Coronation Series. This just happened in the latest episode of Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, which premiered today in Japan and will air worldwide in the future. The win is significant since it’s a culmination of Ash’s adventures in the Pokemon world spanning 25 years.

Over the course of Ash’s journey which started in the Kanto region, Ash and his Pikachu have battled numerous rivals. They’ve participated in tournaments before, but they’ve come short of a tournament victory. Ash Ketchum now secured the title of the first-ever Pokemon League Champion at the Manalo Conference in the Alola region.
