The Darkest Files

Paintbucket Games today unveiled The Darkest Files, a spiritual successor to the Nazi resistance title Through the Darkest of Times. We’ll be seeing it on Switch sometime in 2023.

The title is both a historical investigation and court room game. Further information can be found in the overview below.

LEGO Bricktales

Publisher Thunderful and developer ClockStone are bringing LEGO Bricktales to Switch, the two sides revealed today. The game will be available in Q4 2022.

The title, which was announced earlier this year, is a puzzle-adventure game in which players explore different dioramas and help the people inhabiting them. Further information can be found below.

The Pokemon Company International has announced that it will donate $25 million across the next 5 years in support of non-profit organisations that support children and work to create equitable communities. The groups that it intends to support include Black Girls Code, Central Única das Favelas, and Stop AAPI Hate.

The company had this to say on the matter:

“We are dedicated to leveraging that unique ability and the support we’ve received from our broad community of trainers to be a positive force in the lives of children and create a more equitable, inclusive world in which all can flourish,”

The Pokemon Company reported record profits in 2021, and ranked fifth in the top global licensor rankings. Last year the franchise celebrated its 25th Anniversary, and the next games in the franchise, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, were announced earlier this year.

Ravenscourt have announced that Let’s Sing 2023, the latest iteration of the long-running karaoke party game series, will be coming to Switch later this year.

PunchMan Online has released today on Switch eShop, and 10 minutes of gameplay footage are available for those who may be interested in giving the free-to-play online multiplayer title a try.

Developer Motion Twin have announced that the next update for Dead Cells, Enter the Panchaku, will be delayed by “at least another week” due to issues with the certification process. The update was released on PC platforms earlier this month, but the delay will affect all console platforms.

Fire Emblem Heroes Choose Your Legends 2022 results

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have released another Feh Channel presentation for Fire Emblem Heroes, this time focusing on the Choose Your Legends 2022 event. The full results have now been announced.

Chrom was the overall vote getting with 42,134 votes. Tiki was the top female with 39,705 votes. In second place, it was Seliph in the Men’s Division and Byleth in the Women’s Division.

Mario Strikers: Battle League update 1.1.1

Nintendo and Next Level Games have issued a new 1.1.1 update for Mario Strikers: Battle League. It’s small in nature, as it’s only intended to address a single issue.

Wave Race 64 Nintendo Switch Online

Wave Race 64 is the next N64 game joining Nintendo Switch Online, it’s been announced. Those with access to the Expansion Pack tier can begin playing on August 19, 2022.

Wave Race 64, a racing title, originally released shortly after the launch of the Nintendo 64 in 1996. Players can choose from one of four watercraft racers, each with their own abilities and style, and try to capture glory in Championship Mode, go for the fastest time in Time Trials, pull off tricks in Stunt Mode, or challenge a friend in 2P VS. Mode.
