8Bitdo releasing new version of its wireless NES controller with home button and more face buttons

8Bitdo has revealed a new version of its NES classic controller compatible with the NES Classic Edition. Improvements include a dedicated home button as well as four face buttons instead of two. These buttons are labeled as “turbo buttons”.
You can pre-order the 8Bitdo N30 2.4G Wireless Gamepad on Amazon here for $24.99. It’s due out on August 20.
Nintendo says it is banning Switch users who are displaying inappropriate/unauthorized material in online games

This month, news made the rounds concerning certain Switch owners who have been abusing the avatar functionality. After hacking the system, these users have been able to display any image as their profile icons.
Unfortunately, this became a problem in Super Mario Odyssey. One player encountered a hacked profile that showed a pornopgraphic image through Luigi’s Balloon World.
Temtem will support cross-platform play

Temtem, the Pokemon-inspired monster battling RPG, will support cross-platform play. Developer Crema has said that the plan is for all formats to work with each other, except for the PlayStation 4 present. That means Switch players will be able to connect with those on the likes of Xbox One and PC.
Temtem exceeded its $70,000 funding goal on Kickstarter. Over $400,000 has been raised thus far, and Crema intends to have the game ready in 2019.
Hollow Knight sells over 250,000 copies on Switch in its first two weeks

Hollow Knight has done exceptionally well on Switch thus far. In its first two weeks, the game has sold over 250,000 copies on Nintendo’s console. Team Cherry confirmed the news to IGN.
Since its release, Hollow Knight has been at the top of the eShop charts. Team Cherry has stated that the team is working towards a physical version.

Ubisoft CEO says Nintendo collaborations will continue

Ubisoft has surprised us with two Nintendo collaborations in consecutive years. The Mario and Rabbids crossover happened last year, followed by Star Fox in Starlink: Battle for Atlas this year.
Will we see those collaborations continue in the future? Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has indicated as such.

Kirby Star Allies gets a few pieces of art showing Driblee and Float Slime

A new wave of concept art is in for Kirby Star Allies. Two enemies get the focus: Driblee and Float Slime. We’ve attached the different images below.
With Float Slime, the team always knew that it would be in water. Driblee is also based around water.

Bethesda’s Todd Howard on future Switch support – “we’ll certainly be doing more things there”

Before Switch was announced, no one could have predicted how much support Bethesda would be giving the system. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim got things started late last year, followed by Doom. The Wolfenstein II also just launched on the platform today. Fallout Shelter was released earlier in the month, and The Elder Scrolls: Legends is planned for later this year.
Gamereactor interviewed Bethesda’s Todd Howard at Gamelab this week. When asked if there’s interest in bringing over a mainline Fallout, he said:
