A new update has started distribution for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. On iOS, the update number seems to be version 1.0.1. It’s version 1.0.2 for Android devices.
As for what the update does, it’s nothing terrible exciting. Nintendo has implemented several bug fixes. Hopefully the game should run smoother than ever.

A few days ago, OPUS: The Day We Found Earth and MUJO were confirmed for the Japanese Switch eShop next week. It looks like these two games will also be arriving shortly in the west.
Nintendo’s website lists OPUS: The Day We Found Earth and MUJO for November 30. Additionally, this same date is included for the games in listings added to the European Switch eShop. At this point, it’s practically a done deal.
Here’s an English trailer for OPUS:

Slain: Back From Hell coming to Switch

Some of you may remember Slain, a game we covered on the site a number of times in the past. The game was slated for Wii U. Unfortunately, it was cancelled after Digerati Distribution decided that sales on the system were “just too weak to justify the port”.
Wii U is mostly out of the picture at the point, but Nintendo does have a new console on the market. Digerati Distribution seems to be taking advantage of the opportunity, and Slain: Back From Hell is coming to Switch. A listing on the European eShop reveals the news.
We have the following overview and trailer from the listing:

Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura already at the top of the Japanese eShop charts
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 68 Comments
Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura debuted on the Japanese Switch eShop on Friday. Since then, it has already raced to the top of the charts, and is currently the most downloaded game. It only took a day or so for that to happen. Since Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura is currently Japan-exclusive and we don’t talk about the Japanese eShop charts a whole lot, it’s interesting to point out.
Another Senran Kagura game, Peach Ball, is also coming to Switch. We don’t know too much about this one yet, other than its genre (pinball) and confirmed support for HD Rumble.

Thanks to m_t for the tip.

Super Mario Odyssey producer on approach to development, theme song, Pauline, higher age rating, more
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 23 Comments
Around the launch of Super Mario Odyssey, Japanese website 4Gamer conducted an interview with producer Yoshiaki Koizumi. It was a pretty big discussion, with Koziumi touching on all sorts of points. He talked about how Nintendo went about developing the game, the “Jump Up, Super Star” theme song, Pauline’s inclusion (an interesting note on Nintendo’s original plans for her), the higher age rating compared to past titles, and more.
Towards the start of the interview, when asked about the theme of Super Mario Odyssey being “journey”, Koizumi first described that their initial concept was to make “a new Mario that continues to stick in people’s minds” and they thought of new ideas that couldn’t be put into past Mario games. Among them, the one that can be put in rather well was the term “journey”.
