There’s been some talk with Far Cry 5 that Ubisoft’s game is being political based on its setting. The National approached Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime about the situation, and his response was hardly surprising.

“Making political statements are for other people to do,” he said. “We want people to smile and have fun when they play our games.”

Super Nintendo World

Much of the recent news surrounding Super Nintendo World has focused on the upcoming park in Tokyo. However, we do know that there are plans in the United States as well, and Channel 9 claims to have some details.

The Woody Woodpecker and Barney attractions are said to be closing down. A Mario Kart ride will be taking over the area, which will apparently be “a moving track ride where guests wear augmented reality glasses to feel like they’re moving through a video game.” Additionally, Channel 9 claims Super Nintendo World will feature “a Donkey Kong roller coaster, plus a number of interactive areas with plans for floating coins in mid-air that will spin on a kind of magnetic system.”

Rick Munarriz with The Motely Fool said the following about the Mario Kart ride:

“It will not be a basic car ride. Whether it’s augmented reality or some kind of scoring thing in the real world. There will be a score element, race element to it and that is what’s going to make the ride re-rideable.”

Kotaku has a very interesting article up covering the localization of Xenoblade Chronicles X, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Nintendo’s localizations in general. The site spoke with Monolith Soft CEO Tetsuya Takahashi, Nintendo’s Genki Yokota, and Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.

Takahashi himself commented on the changes that were made for Xenoblade Chronicles X in the west, like removing a bikini for one of the characters (Lin). We also have confirmation that Nintendo of Europe is handling Xenoblade Chronicles 2 like the original Wii game instead of Nintendo of America. There’s talk here about Nintendo’s localization process as well.

Find comments from Kotaku’s article below. You can read the full thing here.

Just like in Europe and Japan, Nintendo Badge Arcade is coming to a close in North America. The app itself isn’t shutting down, but Nintendo has confirmed that the final wave of new badges are being added next week. After June 22, there will be no more new badges.

We received confirmation earlier today that the same situation is taking place in Europe. Nintendo Badge Arcade is also no longer adding new badges in Japan.

The Pokemon Sun/Moon website has updated with full details on Marshadow. That’s posted below, along with an English equivalent of yesterday’s video clip.

CATEGORY: Gloomdweller Pokémon
TYPE: Fighting/Ghost
HEIGHT: 2’04”
WEIGHT: 48.9 lbs.
ABILITY: Technician

Known as the Gloomdweller Pokémon, the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow conceals itself in the shadows. It never appears before humans, so its very existence is the stuff of myth. Marshadow sinks into the shadows of others, and is able to copy their movements and power.

Marshadow is a very cautious Pokémon. It sinks into shadows and observes what is going on around it in such a way that no one else will notice it. This may be the reason why is so rarely seen.
