HORI Zelda Tears of the Kingdom accessories

Original (4/15): HORI has revealed a few new Switch accessories based on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The company is readying a stand, Joy-Con substitutes, and carrying cases.

The play stand is pretty straightforward. You can park your Switch system there, and it can be folded for easy transportation in something like a pouch or bag.

We have a new round of gameplay from Murderous Muses, the latest FMV title from D’Avekki Studios. This one ended up on Switch this week.

For those that need a refresher as to what the game offers, check out the following overview:

More:

We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie frame rate resolution

Bandai Namco has shared more details about the technical side of We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie, including frame rate and resolution. This information comes from the official Japanese website.

When docked, the game is expected to run at 1080p. Portable mode for We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie should be the maximum resolution of 720.

A remake of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was once deemed “close to impossible” by series producer Eiji Aonuma, but we know that Switch eventually received a new HD version. Aonuma has now commented on what changed since he made those original comments.

When Aonuma was originally speaking about a re-release of Skyward Sword in 2019, he pointed to the game’s controls as being an issue. Moving from motion controls to buttons wouldn’t be an easy task. Those problems were solved though and we did get a new Switch version a couple of years later.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom official strategy guide book

Original (5/7): Piggyback made an official strategy guide book for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in collaboration with Nintendo back in 2017, and the two sides are teaming up once again – now for Tears of the Kingdom.

Retailer listings have made this known just days before the launch of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. An official description indicates that it will include answers for all of the game’s puzzles, riddles, and mysteries plus a curated walkthrough, an atlas of Hyrule, and more. It’s a big guide standing at nearly 500 pages.

It looks like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom official strategy guide book will have a standard version and collector’s edition. Right now we’re uncertain what the latter offers, but with Breath of the Wild, that game’s collector’s edition guide came in premium hardcover, featured an extra-large map poster, and had a small art section.

Ganondorf future

The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has commented a bit about Ganondorf and what could be done with the character in the series in the future.

Ganondorf is back again in Tears of the Kingdom after taking a bit of a backseat to other villain stories in the more recent entries in the series. He was technically there in Breath of the Wild, but only as Calamity Ganon – which didn’t really have a true physical form or personality. Yet even with his appearance in the new game, the most amount of development Ganondorf gets still probably goes to The Wind Waker.

Little Disaster

Original (5/8): Ratalaika Games will publish Little Disaster on Switch this week, the company has announced. It will be available on May 12, 2023.

Little Disaster is a puzzle platformer based on explosion mechanics with 70 levels to complete. Additional information can be found in the following overview:
