Update: Nope – Rumor: Next Mario Kart 8 DLC pack to include Baby Park, Neo Bowser City
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii U | 48 Comments
Update: The dream seems to be dead (thanks EdLambdaTeos). This goes back as far as November of last year, with a GameFAQs member claiming to have found a file with similar contents as what’s posted below. The same user said last week that he made the whole thing up. Doh!
Mario Kart 8 has a file system with a listing of tracks and corresponding streaming audio. Following the release of the game’s first round of DLC, there were 8 tracks in the pack and 13 entries.
Here’s a listing of what we received from the initial batch of downloadable content:
GC_YOSHI_CIRCUIT = GCN Yoshi Circuit
SFC_RAINBOW_ROAD = SNES Rainbow Road
WII_WARIOSMINE = Wii Wario’s Gold Mine
WU_DRAGONROAD = Dragon Driftway
WU_EXCITEBIKE = Excitebike Arena
WU_HYRULE = Hyrule Circuit
WU_ICEPARK = Ice Ice Outpost
WU_MUTECITY = Mute City
These tracks were also included, but did not show up as DLC:
3DS_NEOBOWSERCITY = 3DS Neo Bowser City
GC_BABYPARK = GCN Baby Park
WU_ANIMAL = Animal Crossing
WU_METRO = ?
WU_WOODS = ?
Could these tracks be featured in the next wave of Mario Kart 8 DLC? This is complete speculation at the moment, but if it’s accurate, we could be seeing tracks like Neo Bowser City and Baby Park. People are also wondering if “Metro” could be implying “Metroid”, but I’m not too sure at the moment!

Tabletop Gallery file size

Tabletop Gallery is hitting the European Wii U eShop later this week. If you plan on downloading the title, note that it requires 74 MB of space.
Tabletop Gallery actually includes three games. Rather than releasing them separately like in North America, RCMADIAX decided to bundle Poker Dice Solitaire Future, Shut the Box, and Toss N Go together for Europe.

StreetPass
StreetPass is a supported feature that will work as you progress through the story. When passing other players, you’ll receive “Treasure Maps” from them. By heading to the location pin-pointed on the map, you’ll be able to find items that will prove useful on your adventure.
The Girls of PoPoLoCrois Farm Story
You’ll be able to talk to, present gifts to, and communicate with the girls of the towns and villages you come across during your adventure. Making friends with these girls will have its benefits. Xenoblade Chronicles X director talks a bit more about Squads, Unions
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 2 Comments
Xenoblade Chronicles X director Koh Kojima has once again taken to the game’s Japanese Twitter account to share additional information. Kojima shared a few more details regarding Squads and Unions.
Here’s the latest:
Two more bits of information relating to the ‘Doll/Network’ video presentation. You can join Squads once you’ve reached a certain point in the game. You can choose from Solo Play and Multi-Play. You can also join Squads that your friends are in.
While online, the Player can change the Union they belong to by paying a set fee (using in-game currency). You can be calculating and switch to a Union with good results or you can help raise the rank of the Union you’re already in.
The Union you belong to affects the contents of the Union Salary, which you receive once per day, (which can include repair tickets [possible that they mean ‘coupons’] for Dolls that have exceed their insurance limit) so it’s a good idea to try various ones out.
Xenoblade Chronicles X launches in Japan on April 29. It should be out later this year in North America and Europe.
