March 27: Today, Marvelous announced Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar for Nintendo Switch. This one is planned for August 27, 2025.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar takes inspiration from the original Nintendo DS handheld release. For this game, Marvelous says it “expands on the content and feature set of the original, while modernizing the visuals and design, leaning into the title’s focus on the theme of ‘renewal’ as players set out to revitalize Zephyr Town’s bazaar and return it to its world-famous glory.”

Nintendo and Monolith Soft just released a new version 1.0.2 update for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. This is the first patch since launch.

If you’ve ever seen a Nintendo Direct or watched a Nintendo trailer with voiceover, you may have noticed some unconventional – and arguably strange – manner of speech.
Let’s break this down further. A big example of this is that when referencing a game, Nintendo always mentions “game”. Then when talking about its platforms, it always mentions “system”.

April 1: Gentle Giant has announced that they will be releasing a Nintendo Switch version of Spiritfall in Q2 of 2025.
Spiritfall is an action roguelite with combat mechanics inspired by platform fighters. The original game released for PC on February 28, 2024 and is now making its way to Nintendo Switch later this year.

April 2: SEGA is bringing Sonic x Shadow Generations to Nintendo Switch 2, the company has just announced. It will be available during the system’s launch window.
Sonic x Shadow Generations is already on the current Nintendo Switch having launched last year. According to SEGA, more information will be provided later.

Today, ChibiPhoenix announced that it’s working with N-Zone on Chickenhare and the Treasure of Spiking Beard. The game launches on Nintendo Switch later this year.
Chickenhare and the Treasure of Spiking Beard, a 3D action adventure platformer, follows the 2022 animated feature Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness. You’ll go on a journey to find the seven crystals before Spiking-Beard and save the Kingdoms from Chaos.
