Miiverse update prepares for 3DS version, enhances design, more

Nintendo has released a new update on Miiverse today. It mainly paves the way for the upcoming 3DS version, but quite a few changes have been made on Wii U (and on the web) as well, such as an updated design, new display options, and more. You can find the full lowdown from “NintendoMarty” below.

Nintendo announces that the multimedia guide for the world’s most popular art museum is to be released today on Nintendo eShop
27th November 2013 – In April 2012, Nintendo and the world famous Louvre Museum in Paris kick-started a partnership which saw Nintendo 3DS systems being introduced as the exclusive multimedia guide at the museum. Fast-forward less than two years, and in a new Nintendo Direct broadcast today featuring Mr Satoru Iwata and Mr Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo have announced that an enhanced version of this interactive experience, Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre, will be made available to download from Nintendo eShop (available through the Nintendo 3DS family of systems) from 27th November 2013 ensuring you can discover what the Louvre has to offer in the comfort of your own home, as well as when at the Louvre Museum itself.
Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre presents innovative and unique ways to enjoy the many attractions that the Louvre Museum exhibits using the 3D functionality of the Nintendo 3DS system, which does not require the use of special 3D enabled glasses. Bringing the world’s most visited museum to life with over 600 images of artwork, nearly 30 hours of audio commentary, and more than 400 photos of the museum interior including 360° panoramic 3D photos of gallery spaces. Within the 600 images of artwork, users will be able to examine 150 artwork as high resolution 2D images, 3D photos or 3D models using the exclusive 3D feature of the Nintendo 3DS. In addition, there is an interactive map of the museum where users can design their own trail around the exhibits, making the multimedia guide t he ideal interactive software regardless of whether or not you are able to visit the Louvre Museum in person.

New LovePlus+ hitting Japan in spring, 3DS XL bundles revealed

New LovePlus+ was announced in July, but Konami hasn’t shared any news since. That’s all changed today though with two important pieces of news.
First, New LovePlus+ has been given a release window in Japan. Konami will publish the game in the spring. It’ll cost 5,700 yen at retail and 5,200 yen as a download.
Two special bundles have also been revealed for New LovePlus+. Each includes a boxed copy of the game and a 3DS XL system featuring Manaka Takane, Rinko Kobayakawa, or Nene Anegasaki. There are other goodies included too such as a special book, audio CD, illustrations sheet, and box. All bundles are priced at 32,000 yen.

Shin Megami Tensei IV going on sale for $30 in time for Thanksgiving

Atlus will be discounting the price of Shin Megami Tensei IV for just a few days. Between November 28 and December 2, you’ll be able to purchase the 3DS RPG for $29.99. The game was originally priced at $50. Note that DLC will be on sale as well, with all items being marked down under $2.

SEGA’s latest trailer for Puyo Puyo Tetris brings us just a few extra details. The information roundup can be found below.
– When the game swaps your board between a player’s Puyo and Tetris sets, the swapped set will continue to fall
– This results in situations where you could come back to a really messed up game
– Another mode is one in which you bomb the other player
– A bomb tile will appear in your set of tiles that you’ll need to send over to the opponent before it explodes
– February 6 date for Japan reconfirmed
