Japan’s Pokemon variety show Pokenchi is set to feature Pokemon Sun/Moon on July 3 (July 2 in the west). A video for the two games will be shown, and information on new Pokemon will be shared. There’s a chance that Pokenchi will only have content that debuted at E3 as well as what’s coming on July 1 and through CoroCoro, but it might be worth keeping an eye on just in any case.

Aksys Games held a promotion for Zero Time Dilemma that was planned to provide fans with a special watch if they pre-ordered at Amazon or GameStop. Unfortunately, we’re now hearing that they were damaged in transit.

So what does that mean? Aksys says that consumers will still receive the game, though watches won’t be available until a few weeks later. The publisher hopes to make it up to fans by providing a currently unspecified bonus.

Aksys posted on Twitter a little while ago:

Capcom will be stopping by Anime Expo 2016 early next month. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice and Monster Hunter Generations are both being represented at the event, as both will have playable demos.

Additionally, Capcom is lining up panels, cosplay gatherings, and more. Here’s the lowdown on what’s planned:

  • Producer Signing Sessions
Friday, July 1st and Saturday, July 2nd at 1:00 PM for 1 hour only at the Capcom Booth

The first Yo-kai Watch game did alright when it arrived in North America last year. However, it’s not quite the same sensation as it is in Japan currently.

Level-5 president and CEO Akihiro Hino noted in an interview with The Verge that the series is on the same path as when it debuted in Japan a few years ago. Much like in the states, Yo-kai Watch only sold adequately. It was when the second entry released that the franchise really picked up steam, and Hino thinks something similar could happen overseas.

According to Hino:

“We have to understand that it takes time. But then at the same time we have to work as hard as we can to shorten the time as much as possible.”

“I think we’re following the same kind of sales trend as Japan. Meaning that our first game in Japan had OK sales, but it only became a huge phenomenon when we released the second game. I think our launch here in the US is kind of the ideal sales that we had expected.”

“For the markets where it takes more time, we have to change the messaging, trying to push the aspects that are more familiar to those markets. Not just push the game as-is, but pick the unique aspect that will be familiar.”

“We do believe that Yo-kai Watch can be as big of a social phenomenon [in the West] as it is in Japan.”

The European boxart is in for Metroid Prime: Federation Force – see above. It uses the same design as Japan for the most part.

To compare, here’s the North American version:

Inti Creates held another live stream for Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 on Niconico earlier today. During the broadcast, more was shared on Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 as well as Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack, which will include the sequel and the original game.

A limited edition version of Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack will come with a drama CD. Here’s a summary from Skybane:

This [drama CD tells] a tale that happens a bit before the story of “Armed Blue Gunvolt”. It’s a prelude to the Japan invasion by the Multi-National Psychics Union “Eden” and its 7th Wave (Sevens) Psychics.
The country’s defenders, “Sumeragi”, fight hard battles against Eden, which seeks the destruction of the national defensive barrier – will Sumeragi be able to halt Eden’s advance? And the 3rd faction “Feather” gets involved as well…

Along with the drama CD, Inti Creates will include a download code for a new 3DS theme, pictured above. It’s named “Azure Thunderclap Gunvolt Striker Pack” and has a theme based on the package illustration plus the featured song “Concurrent World (Parallel World)” by Morpho. Those who purchase the standard version of Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack will be able to download the theme as well.

Level-5 wrapped up a live stream to promote its upcoming Vision event a short while ago. Aside from confirming new Layton and Inazuma games, CEO Akihiro Hino also talked about a few other titles.

First, Hino touched on The Snack World, which is still on the way. New concept art was shown – see the gallery below.

Hino also briefly discussed Level-5’s new cross-media project while showing concept art as well. He said, “you won’t go to space, this will be a very familiar story. An academy drama… perhaps?” The project is said to be shaping up very nicely and Level-5 has great expectations for it.

Here are a couple of pieces of concept art:
