Pokemon Crystal

This week’s 3DS eShop charts are as follows:

More:

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Twitter shared new data today for the first half of 2020. As part of that, we’ve learned that Animal Crossing was the most tweeted about game of the year so far.

Here’s the complete top ten:

PGA Tour 2K21

One of the features being touted for PGA Tour 2K21 is the game’s course designer functionality. After creating a layout, players can even share their content online.

The unfortunate news for Nintendo fans is that the feature appears to be entirely absent from the Switch version. That information comes from the game’s latest trailer, which clearly mentions this fact at the beginning of the video. We can’t say for certain as to why that is, but perhaps the team felt that they couldn’t get things working properly on the system.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night received its Boss Revenge and Chroma Wheel update on most platforms in July, but it turns out that Switch owners have been forced to wait. The team has now provided an update, stating that the patch should go live on Nintendo’s console “later this month.”

Boss Rush lets players take control of several villains while battling a series of heroes. Chroma Wheel allows for more customization. You can read more about the new Bloodstaind update here.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe

The heavily-rumored Pikmin 3 Deluxe was finally announced today. Nintendo has now opened the teaser site, accessible here. There’s not a ton of content there at present, but it should receive a proper update before launch.

We do want to bring up that the site mentions at the bottom that Switch Lite players are required to use detached Joy-Con. However, this is likely nothing more than an error. If we do happen to hear otherwise, we’ll definitely let you know.

The life simulation game Chinese Parents is coming to Switch on August 20, an eShop listing reveals. It’ll be sold digitally via the eShop.

We have the following overview and trailer for Chinese Parents:

Kwaidan: Azuma Manor Story

Rainy Frog and Gudouan have nailed down a release date for Kwaidan: Azuma Manor Story, the 3D action and point-and-click adventure title. A release is planned for August 20 via the eShop.

Here’s an overview of the game:

When Nintendo announced Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for Switch, you may recall that Nintendo pulled the listing from the Wii U eShop. Something similar has now happened with Pikmin 3.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe was revealed for Switch earlier today, and the original version is no longer available on the Wii U eShop. Searching for the game doesn’t bring up any results. A Pikmin 3 Wii U listing is still up on Nintendo’s website (for now anyway), but there’s no option to buy a digital copy.

King of Fighters R-2

King of Fighters R-2, a fighting game from the Neo Geo Pocket Color era, was confirmed for Switch during the New Game+ Expo earlier this summer. It was originally expected sometime in July, though the month just went by without any updates from SNK.

The good news is that King of Fighters R-2 has actually just released – well, in Japan that is. It’s out now on the Japanese eShop, though we’re still waiting for the game in the west. It’s possible that we could end up seeing it in North America and Europe after the regular store update tomorrow.

Double Kick Heroes

Double Kick Heroes, a shoot ’em up and rhythm game hybrid, hits Switch next week. Find some early footage in the video below.

Double Kick Heroes is slated for August 13 on the Switch eShop.
